"Maya!" I heard Lucas call as he walked through the door into the kitchen where I sat. His hair was gelled and as usual he looked like a Calvin Klein model, whereas I sat on a dining chair feeling like a beached whale. I was now in my third trimester and the nerves where starting to kick in; it felt like we didn't have anything ready for when the baby came.

"I'm going to practise." He said, quickly kissing my lips and then speeding towards the door.

"Wait we need to..."

SLAM! He was gone.

"We need to sort out the baby's room." I whispered to myself. I loved that he was so into sports and his job but at that rate we would never get the babies room done in time.

I looked around our marble kitchen and as I looked I saw nothing homey. So that was  when I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and go do something. I was going to go to the store and get some accessories for the kitchen.

When I got there I felt little over whelmed it was 90 degrees out and I was already feeling a little low. I looked frantically  trying to find what I needed when I saw Lucas walking down the same isle

"Huckleberry?" I called. He stopped in his tracks as if he knew that I had caught him up to something.

"Maya?" He greeted me with a smile too wide to be an honest one. "What are you doing here?"

"I could say the same to you!" I groaned as I crossed my arms.

"I'm here getting stuff for the game?" He stuttered, clearly lying to me.

"So why do the guys need rope for practise?" I asked. The word rope instantly made me think of 50 shades of grey (and we all know what he used the rope for). What if he was cheating on me?

"For stretching!" He replied I went to confront him but before I could get the chance he turned and yelled "got to go bye!?" He didn't even bother running it was an insult to all the pregnant women that waddled.

I got home that day to find smudged footprints leading all the way up my stairs stopping at the top where the carpet began. It made me more nervous about what he had done. If he was cheating on me why would he be so messy? That's when I heard it.

Voices were coming from somewhere and I intended to find out. I stormed to the top of the staircase and followed the noise to the baby's bedroom. I took a big deep breath before latching my hand into the door knob and swinging the door open.

"Surprise!" He yelled making me jump. In front of me was a changing desk full of nappies stocked up and next to it was a little blue bin. Across the other side of the room was a white crib with blue sheets filling the inside and just above there was a quote that read:

'Planes, Trains, Trucks and Toys... There's nothing quite like little boys!'

It made my heart melt a million times over. But the best thing was that in the corner under the window was the rocking chair that was in little Riley's room when she was born. He really did loved me; he had thought of everything.

"I hate you!" I said sighing as a tear fell down my cheek.

"Why?" He asked wondering what he had done wrong.

"Because your perfect!" I whispered just load enough that he could to. "I thought you were cheating in my because you were down the isle with the bondage rope." He waited a minute and then his face changed and he smiled.

"I was down the rope isle to get ribbon." He laughed. "To tie to the crib."

I sighed again knowing it was just the pregnancy making me paranoid.

"Why do you have to be so great." I moaned, trying to bury the smile that had surfaced on my face.

"It Comes naturally." He replied taking my hand, leading me out of the baby room and closing the door....
