The Longest Movie

Riley's POV

"Ladies." Farkle announced poking his head through my bedroom window.

"Farkle? Its been 3 years why don't you just use the front
door?" I asked.

"Don't fix what isn't broken." He replied looking very smug.

"Riley!" My father called opening my bedroom door.

"I have a BOY for you." He frowned. Lucas looked more scared than usual.

"Be afraid be very afraid." He scowled at Lucas as he slowly shut the door leaving the room.

"Mr. Matthews is actually really scary." Lucas muttered under His breath.

"Are you all ready then?" Maya asked looking around to each of us. We all nodded in sync.

"Good let's go." She got up and smiled.

"Ergghh, farkle?" She shouted over to him. He looked over as he opened the window.

"Let's just take the from door this time." She suggested.

"Fine." He moaned shutting the window up.

Lucas' POV

"So what are we going to see?" I asked as we got closer and closer to the movie theater.

"The longest ride." Riley muttered under her breath just low enough for her to hope that I didn't hear. But I did.

"What?!!" That's a girls movie.

"Yeah, it is can't we go to watch something that we like?" Farkle asked hoping they would say yes.

Maya just stopped in her tracks and turned around to face us.

"No, we always go to see what you want to watch, if we have to watch scary movies then you have to watch chic flicks. Besides the last time we went to see something you two wanted to watch Riley and Farkle didn't sleep for a week." She declared and then turned back around to walk ahead. I didn't want to say anything else, she looked angry enough as it was.

The way we sat in the theater was Farkle first then Riley then me and last was Maya.

When the movie started I thought it was one of them normal, boring chic flicks but the more I watched it the more it started to make me feel a bit uneasy. I looked around to everyone in the theater to see if they saw what I did but Maya didn't even flinch. It reminded me of when Maya came to Texas and she didn't want me to get on the bull. I mean the boys name was Luke. It just felt like the two of them were me and Maya and unlike the others I couldn't shake the feeling.

Maya's POV

Watching the movie was average except the part about how it was so similar to me and Lucas' story. I felt so awkward that I just pretended that it didn't affect me at all even when Lucas looked straight at me I still kept a neutral face.

But It was the part when she didn't want him to ride the bull that brought all them old emotions back to me and I couldn't help but look over at Lucas who was already looking at me with a sad sort of look in his eyes. I think he finally understood how I was feeling when he got on that bull.

When the movie ended I was so glad. It felt so much like us but we didn't get our happily ever after...

When we got outside everyone was really quiet and I couldn't bare to say anything

"Was it just me or did that movie give you déjà vu but I can't put my finger on it." Riley said smiling along beside the two of us who looked completely mortified.

"Yeah me neither!" Farkle also seemed completely oblivious to what had happened. I glared over at Lucas who was looking at me smiling.

"What?" I asked him trying not to laugh.

"Nothing." he said as he chuckled away to himself. He then winked at me and waited for the penny to drop.

"WAIT!!??" Farkle and Riley both said in sequence looking around at us with red faces.
