Maya's POV
"You do know that I'm a machine!" I boasted turning to face his table.
"You know I'm good Maya, are you sure you want to compete with a boy!" Lucas replied looking smug.
"This is all well and good but can I actually get around to teaching my lesson?" Mr.Matthews announced to the class trying to distract me from what Lucas had just said.
"Wait... So are you saying that because I'm a girl, I'm not as good as you." I raised my voice.
"I guess not!" Mr.Matthews uttered to himself falling back into the chair behind his desk.
"I think that's exactly what he's saying Maya!" Riley agreed with me.
"Your in so much trouble." Farkle said glaring over at Lucas who started to look a bit scared.
"Well... Video games we're originally aimed at boys which means that boys are a little more experienced at it than girls, but your good at other stuff!" He said trying not to offend anyone (not realizing he already had)
"What? Like shopping." I replied sarcastically.
"Yh!" As he said the word the whole room gasped.
"WHAT!!!???" I screamed.
"Well you are!" He looked over at me surprised.
"I'm praying for you, son!" Mr.Matthews shouted over at him.
I couldn't believe that my boyfriend was so stereotypical.
"Right let's play and see who wins!!" I demanded.
"Fine he said, still wondering why we were all so offended.
Lucas' POV
I couldn't believe that they were all so upset, boys were normally better at video games and girls were better at girly things, why were they all getting so worked up about it.
The next day Maya and half the class including Riley and Farkle came barging in through my door she didn't say a word to me all she did was plug in the the game and point to the couch.
When I sat down Farkle took a deep breath and alined his face with mine.
"Look, I'm so sorry about what's going to happen, I hope she loves you enough that she makes it as painless as possible." He whispered Riley then popped her head between the two of us
"She won't!" Riley giggled to herself before turning her head back towards the television.
"Are you ready, Ranger Rick?" Maya finally spoke to me. I didn't say anything back, mainly because I was starting to feel worried about what was gonna happen...
By the end if the game I felt pretty embarrassed, she had won my a land slide and everybody in my house felt pity for me. So much so that everyone left straight after so I didn't feel so bad.
"What did you say? Girls aren't as good as who?" She boasted to me laughing at the embarrassment all over my face. I scooched closer to her and took her hand.
"Don't forget to remind me how great you are everyday and evryday after this!" I smiled at her and suddenly the anger in her had gone away.
We talked for a while about how funny it was and we move on from that subject to another and to another until I woke up to find us both laying down in the couch. I looked over to see the game still on.
"I better practice." I whispered to myself picking up my controller and trying to be extra quiet.
"Don't even think about it!" I heard a voice from beside me.
