Josh vs. Lucas

Maya's POV

Tonight was going to be awkward. Lucas and Josh were going to be in the same room for at least 3 hours and I knew things were going to come to blows. I hate Family Game night.

"Maya why don't you be my partner?" Josh shouted from the door way walking towards the table where the game was set up.
"Errrm, we're already playing together. You'll have to pair up with Auggie!" Lucas shouted over at him putting his arm around me.

"Stop it." I whispered to him and he took his arm off me giving me a funny face.

"Ok, so it's mom and dad, me and Farkle, Maya and Lucas and Auggie and Josh. Lets get
started." Riley announced trying to salvage the situation.

Through the whole game Josh kept making little digs at Lucas, I couldn't take it anymore. In fact I was surprised Lucas hadn't snapped already.

"Josh can I please talk to you outside please." I whispered into his ear walking past him and yanking him with me.

"Okay." He smiled as I pulled him along to the the door.

"What do you think your doing?" I yelled at him.

"What are you talking about?" He questioned me.

"You know what?" I glared at him while he smirked.

"Look Maya you've always liked me and Lucas is just a crush. I've finally realized how much I like you and I know you still like me too." He started to lean closer taking me hand.

"Stop it and stop being horrible to Lucas." I screamed pushing him towards the door.

"Did I ever tell you how cute you get when your angry." He said giving me the eye.

"Get in NOW!" I yelled opening the door and pushing him through it.

"What the hell were you doing out there with her?" Lucas yelled from across the room.

"It's nothing to do with you!" Josh replied smiling at Lucas as if something had happened.

"It's got everything to do with me!" Lucas got even angrier.

"She hasn't chosen you yet, she might choose me." Josh demanded.

Lucas' POV

I didn't understand what he was going on about. Me and Maya were almost a couple we we're supposed to be together, where did this come from? Was she thinking about Josh?

"What are you talking about. You haven't been here for the last 6 months, I have!" I shouted at him.

I looked over to see Maya yet again taking joshes hand and walking him towards the door.

"Maya!" I shouted over to her but she ignored me. Josh just looked back at me and glared still smiling.

I looked over at Riley, farkle and Auggie who just stared back at me confused.

Maya's POV

I looked up at him.

"Josh, you are one of the loveliest people I've ever met. You were my first crush and I will never forget that... but there's a difference between having a crush and having something real. You always make me smile but Lucas is always there when I need him, no matter what I know he's gonna make everything better and besides your in college when you go back they'll be another person that really makes you feel good and you'll want to be there for them. So stop wasting time on me and go find her." I explained and then I lent in and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Your amazing and he's lucky to have you. Don't ever forget that. If things don't work out you know where to find me." He said taking my hand and letting go to walk down the corridor.

I walked back in the room and stood there while they all stared back.

"What are you all staring at. Let's play." I walked over to the table but Lucas stood up.

"Why did you go out there with him? Do you still like him? You can tell me." He asked looking really upset.

"Do we have to do this in front of everyone?" I pleaded.

"Yes, do you still like him." He persisted.

"Your such a good guy Lucas. You know I would never choose a boy that denied his feelings for me over the boy who's never left my side. Stop being stupid, of course I don't like him. Hopalong!" I giggled moving closer towards him.

"You know you always surprise me!" He replied taking my hand and leading me back to the door and out AGAIN!

I think I might have made Josh a little more rude than he is in the show but if you think he's too horrible just let me know and I'll change him.
