Lucas' POV

It seemed like everyone in the hospital was rushing a round trying to get things done except from me, I just stood in the wide, pale looking corridor glaring in through the glass.

There were dozens of little tiny humans sleeping and in the middle was the best of them all. His hands were tiny, he had his mother's a big blue eyes just like Riley and he wriggled around like he had some place better to be. When I looked over at him it seemed as though the world slowed down, it took me back to when Riley was born and how everything slowed down each time I looked at her.

"Mr.friar?" I heard from down the corridor. I turned my head to see and nurse popping her head out from Mayas room.

"Your wife is awake from her nap." She called out. And just like that my world sped up again.

"Hey." I said walking through the door.

"Hi." She murmured back, trying to wake herself up.

"Do you have any pain, or a stomach ache? Because I was reading and you can get inf..." I was cut off

"I'm fine and so is Shawn, you worry too much." She whispered, trying to keep her eyes open.

"Its just...well.. With what happened when Riley was born... I'm always gonna worry about you three, besides its my job."

"Did I ever tell you that your a good guy huckleberry?." She asked tucking loose strands of hair behind her ears.

"You just did." I smirked and as I did in walked a nurse holding Shawn in her arms.

A little later on we heard a knock on the door and when we looked up, there in the door way was everyone including Maya's mother.

Maya's POV

We all chatted about what we were going to do after the hospital and where he was going to go to college, it was nice to be able to celebrate this birth because when Riley was born people were almost planning our funerals.

"Mommy, I wanted sister!" Riley shouted from the end yif the bed. Everyone stared at me waiting for me to reply

"Well we couldn't afford to get another little girl." I responded.

"Then, can you save up next time!" She said, Causing us all to laugh for a moment and leaving her wondering why it was so funny.

"Maya, why did you name him after me?" I heard Shawn whisper in my ear from beside the bed.

"Because you were the first man to care enough about me to tell me to wear nicer clothes and so I thought maybe my Shawn will make someone else feel the way you did." I didnt need to tjink about it because I had been waiting ever since I got in the ambulance to tell him and I was so glad I had.

"Shawn are you ok?" I heard Cory say from the other side of the room. I looked over at Shawn to see a tear seeping out of the corner of his eye.

"Yh, I'm fine, I'm just... Happy!" He replied and then he looked at me and winked and as he did the tear fell and hit his cheek.

I know this wasn't a big lucaya moment but I just wanted to have one more oneshot of her after the labour, but I hope you liked it anyway.
