Truth Or...

Maya's POV

"Please Maya?!!" Riley pleaded. "We have to play??!"

"No."

"Maya we have to play it!"

"There's only me and you." I explained. "You can't play truth or dare with only two People."

"Why don't we play with  Farkle and Lucas?" She asked.

"No... I don't want them to know all my secrets."

"So play it with me." She argued

"Fine we can play for ten minutes." I sighed. "But I know all your secrets and you know mine."

"Let's just do dares then." She chirped. "I'll go first."

I heard this knock coming from the window and when I turned my head I saw Farkle's face smiling through through the glass.

"Hello ladies!" He panted wildly from climbing up the fire escape. "What are you up to?"

"We're Playing truth or dare, do you want to play?" Riley asked him.

"Yeah." He replied. "Lucas is here too!" As he said those words my stomach fell to the floor. I couldn't stand having to tell him the truth about anything.

They came in and sat on Riley's bed.

"So, is it just the classic truth or dare?" Lucas guessed.

"Yep." Riley squealed. "Ok I'll go first. I choose truth."

"Have you ever done anything bad?" Farkle asked her.

"That's probably a firm no." I whispered under my breath making laughter echo through her room.

"Well there was that one time I snuck out with Maya to go see my uncle Josh." Riley reminded me making me want to play this game even less. I didn't want Lucas hearing all of this, it made me feel uneasy.

"Ok, I choose Farkle." She beamed. "Truth or dare?"

"Erghhh... Dare." He replied instantly regretting his choice afterwards.

"I dare you to kiss Lucas?" She cackled.

"Wait isn't this a dare for me too?" Lucas added. "Two birds with one stone."

"Easy." Farkle Beamed leaning in and giving Lucas a quick peck. We all had a little giggle and then all three of them started staring at me and It took me a minute to realise why!

"Ok there's only one person who hasn't done it yet." Farkle assured us. "So... I choose Maya."

I went a bright red; I was so nervous that I would do something embarrassing in front of Lucas.

"Truth or dare?" Riley questioned me. I looked over at Lucas who had gone quiet.

"Truth." I replied hoping Farkle would make it as easy for me as it was for Riley.

"Do you have feelings for anyone?" He blurted out making me feel really uncomfortable again. I could feel my cheeks turning red and people around me chiming in to what I was about to say, apart from Lucas who was now trying to look away.

"Yes!" I replied making Lucas turn his head in surprise to me. His eyes were wide and I knew he knew who I was talking about.

"Ok I think it's time I leave." I suggested getting up and looking around for my backpack.

"No don't go!"Riley pleaded.

"I have to go. I have to... Feed my cat." I said making no sense.

"But you don't have a cat." Farkle reminded me.

"Well I do now." I declared. I spotted my bag so I quickly picked it up and Left as quick as I could...

Half way down the street I heard a voice calling me.

"Maya!!" It was Lucas.

He looked at me for a minute and for a split second I really though he was going to tell me he liked me.

"Erghhh... You well... You have the wrong bag." He explained. And my heart fell, he hadn't  even realised how much I liked him and he probably never would.

Lucas' POV

When I saw her look over at me I thought, Maybe she was talking about me. But then she left.

"Was it something I said?" Farkle asked. I timed out all I could think about was why she left. I looked over at my backpack and realised it was Maya's. I had to swap them.

When I caught up to her I wanted to tell her how much I liked her but something was telling me not to.

"Well... You..." I stuttered but in that moment maybe she realised that I liked her and she ran away because she didn't feel the same. I didn't want to put her in that position.

"You have the wrong bag?" I explained completing deleting what I really wanted to say to her.

"Oh, ok then" she replied taking her bag from me and giving me mine. She turned back around and I instantly regretted not telling her the truth.
