Aki's POV
I'm back to my homeland. The Philippines. Its been a year since I met my mom. And now, I'm back to continue my training under my best friend, Charc.
Marami naman akong nabiling pasalubong. Para sa kanila ni mama, syempre. At para na rin sakin. Haha! May binili rin akong pasalubong para sa mga bata sa orphanage. Ang tagal ko rin silang hindi nadalaw. Ang last na dalaw ko sa kanila ay the day before I went to America. How I miss them...
Bigla namang may nakabunggo saking babae. I almost drop to the floor but luckily, I held on to my baggage to support my weight.
"Oh! I'm sorry miss." She apologized.
"It's okay. I'm fine." I told her to peace her mind.
"I'm glad you say that. But still, let me treat you para makabawi naman ako sa nangyare."
"No need for that, miss. Kailangan ko na rin kasi agad umuwi samin."
"This won't take long." She insisted.
I'm still the same Akira Fuentes Fajardo. Isang taong ayaw makakita ng taong nagmamakaawa sa kaniya.
I heaved a sigh.
"Okay. But this shouldn't take long. I'm sorry for being demanding." I apologized.
"It's okay. I umderstand. You want to rest and meet your family as soon, right?"
I nodded.
Nagpunta kami sa starbucks at nagkape saglit.
"By the way, I'm Hannah. Hannah Valdez." She stretched her hands.
"I'm Akira. Akira Fajardo." We shook hands.
"Saang bansa ka galing?"
"Amerika. E ikaw ba?"
"Sa Spain."
Silence...
"May susundo ba sayo?" She asked after a few seconds of silence.
"Wala. I intended to surprise them. How about you?"
"Meron. Yung ex ko."
"Wow. Ex mo pero sweet pa rin sya sayo? Baka naman mahal ka pa rin nya?"
"Impossible. He loves another woman now."
"Her girlfriend? Wife? Fiance?"
"Nope. Just another girl. I didn't met her before."
"Do you still love this guy? I see jealousy in your eyes." Just my opinion.
"Even I say yes, it will not change anything. But i will be happy for him if he becomes happy even I'm not the reason for his happiness."
"You're so kind. I know you'll find the right one for you, sooner. Malay mo, bumalik rin ang pagmamahal nya sayo?"
"How I wish." She said---full of sadness in her eyes.
Nag-usap pa kami about sa experiences namin sa pinanggalingan naming country. Until I felt my phone vibrated and answered the call.
"Excuse me." Sabi ko then answered the phone.
["Kaya pala hindi ko na makontak ang number mo sa Amerika kasi nasa Pilipinas ka na!"] Charc scolded me.
"Calm down, okay? Relax. I'm on my way now." Then I ended the call.
