It's payback time!

Chapter L

Aki's POV

Another year had passed and thank God I didn't encounter any of my university friends until now. I already passed the training I undergone from the great Kent Dennis Jaime. But until now, you still don't have any idea of what kind of company he has.

He inherited a furniture making company named 'The Great'. His company is famous worldwide because of its delicate and meticulous designs. And until now, they're still on top.

The same as the company I will inherit from my mom. It still produces famous artists around the globe. Most of them received different awards from different events.

And now, it's my time to be revealed as my mom's only daughter and inheritor.

"Are you ready, sweetie?" Mom kissed my forehead.

"Yes, mama. I prepared myself for this. I will try my best to not disappoint you."

She smiled at me.

(trying hard ang author nyo na mag-English. Pigang piga na po ang utak ko. Wag nyo na lang pagkaisipin kung may mali man akong grammar. Di naman po kasi ako perpekto.)

"I'll go ahead 'coz I'll be the one to call you. And by the way, you're so beautiful." She said then walked out of my dressing room.

Lahat halos ng a-attend sa party na 'to ay partners ng company namin. May press din, pero konti lang. I hate attention, remember. Ako pa rin naman ang Aki noon.

Invited din syempre si Charc. At date nya si Kelly. Akalain nyo ba namang sila na? Can you imagine it? Isang taon lang ang nakalipas pero ang dating torpe, ngayon, gf na ang isa sa hottest girls around the world. Model kasi si Kelly na galing din sa company namin. O di ba? World class ang gf ni best friend!

"And now, I'm proud to introduce to you, my one and only inheritor. My daughter, Akira Fajardo." I heard my mom announced.

That's my cue to present myself as the soon to be president and owner of the 'H-artful Company'.

It's time for my speech.

"First of all, I want to thank God for this wonderful day. For letting me meet my mom. For being my parents child. For being a friend of those guys out there. And for letting me live until now."

"As you can notice, H-artful company means that we produce artists that works with their hearts. They don't just act, but they feel their characters. They don't just sing, they feel the lyrics. They don't just write, they experience. They don't just direct, they plot. That's what makes our legacy..."

" I'm not promising to do the same. But I'll do my best to surpass my mom's achievement. And don't expect too much from me. I'm just here to guide and help our company maintain our legacy. I'm still a human after all, guys. That's all. Please enjoy the party."

They gave me a warm applause.

"That was a wonderful speech, sweetie." Mom approached me.

"Thanks, mama. Dinugo talaga ang ilong ko sa pag-i-English ng sasabihin ko. Gusto ko sanang tagalugin kaya lang, naalala kong makikinig din pala ang ibang bansa. Kahiya naman."

"It's okay. Naitawid mo naman ng maayos. Besides, sabi mo nga kanina, you're still a human after all. We're not perfect. I understand. At sana magawa mo ang goal mo. Ang panatilihan ang company natin on top."

"I'll do my best." I said and hugged her.

"Sweet naman..." Biglang sabi ni Charc sa likod namin.
