After a long day of Troye and I being separated at the pre-planned panels for VidCon, we were finally able to leave. It wasn't necessarily a bad day or anything, I just would have preferred to spend the day with someone other than Tyler. Either way, it was finally over now, so I could find Troye and we could plan our night out together.
I texted Troye to meet me right outside of the convention center once he was ready. I didn't want to wait in the lobby since I would then be surrounded with the thought of Tyler being around.
Leaning against the surprisingly extremely transparent glass of the on the outside of the building, I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Tumblr a bit. A text from Troye then popped up as a banner at the top of my phone screen. "On my way out :)" I smiled and turned my head towards the door, waiting to see Troye. It was still quite bright outside, but the sun was about to begin to set.
The moment I saw Troye exit the building, my eyes met his. He looked more exhausted than me. "Hey!" I said to him. "I missed you today." Troye smiled at me and reached out his arms for a hug. "I missed you too Con. I wish we could share a panel together." We rested our heads on each other for a minute until I moved outward to plant a kiss on his cheek. The warm feeling of my lips pressed upon his cheeks did not last long. We were staggered by the sound of a loud female screech followed by the bright flash of a light. I quickly released from the some-what hug thing that Troye and I were doing. "Shit." I heard Troye say silently under his breath.
I looked around for a few seconds until seeing a girl that looked around the age of fifteen approach us. "HI!" She said very excitedly. Troye and I laughed nervously, but only to the point where we knew that we were nervous.
We took pictures with her, asked her name, and signed her phone case. She told us about how much she loved us, and we loved that she loved us and everything, but we were so worried about what she may have seen happening outside of the Convention Center. Before we left I asked her about it. "So, you didn't happen to see what happened outside of the building a few moments ago did you?"
"I did....."
"Yeah....I saw a flash."
"I'll delete the picture, I'm so sorry."
"No no! It's okay. I'm sure you were excited." I laughed a little, glancing at Troye, and then quickly back at the girl.
"I was haha." She said. In front of me, she deleted the picture, and then deleted it from her deleted photos. I smiled and thanked her a million times. "No problem." I thanked the girl once more. "Thanks again, and if you could...like....pretend this never happened....that would be great."
"Pretend what happened?" The girl winked and all of us laughed it off before we parted ways.
As Troye and I walked off together I laughed again before talking, "I guess we need to be more careful about things like this from now on."
"I guess so." Troye said. "But I think we're good for now." Grinning stupidly, Troye grabbed my hand and laced his fingers into mine until we reached my car.
