I woke up to the sound of my phone. Looking straight up at the ceiling, I'd tried to remember how I'd gotten home last night. Driving back to my apartment yesterday was a blur. I'd been so exhausted, maybe Tyler drove me home, I don't know. I rolled towards my nightstand at the right side of my bed. Tyler had texted me at least a million times. A couple weeks ago we had booked our tickets to the UK. I picked up my phone and unplugged the charger. The messages read, "CONNOR"
"UK TIME"
"YOU EXCITED?"
"I KNOW YOU ARE"
"READY TO SEE TROYE?"
"I'LL HELP YOU GET READY TO LOOK GOOD FOR HIM," the texts pretty much just went on like that. But he was right, I was more excited to see Troye than I had ever been to see anyone. I looked at the time. Seven o'five AM. I wanted to sleep a bit longer, but the excitement was too much for me to contain. Our flight wasn't until six PM, which was good because I still had to pack. I got out of bed, went downstairs, and stared at the door for a while deciding whether I should go for a jog or not. In the end I just chose to just stay home and relax. When I got to the kitchen, I got out one of my 'But first, coffee.' mugs from the cabinet. Once I'd finished making my coffee, I sat on the sofa, turned on the TV, and got out my Mac. I always love going on Twitter and reading all of the nice things people always have to say, but I felt a bit guilty that I hadn't shared the whole truth with everyone yet. I saw a tweet from Troye in my feed and immediately clicked it. The Tweet read, 'Got some awesome collabs coming up this week.' Just reading that made me smile. Then a reply from JacksGap came up, 'That's pretty cheeky.' When I'd read it, I couldn't help but laugh.
As time progressed, I'd kept procrastinating about packing. It was ten AM now. I turned and looked at my empty suitcase. 'I should really pack.' I thought to myself. "NAH." I said aloud. Before I knew it, hours were flying by. It was now noon, and I hadn't even started deciding what to pack. I had to leave for my flight soon. Tyler was coming by my house around two to pick me up, so I had to start now. I scrambled up my stairs. "Okay," I said aloud. "Toothbrush, clothes, clothes, more clothes, laptop charger, laptop, phone charger, phone, wallet...." the list went on and on. It was two o'seven when I finished packing.
