Today Troye and I were supposed to go to the set and film the third and final music video to the trilogy, but it was pouring outside. Troye's producer emailed him early this morning, explaining that they would be filming tomorrow instead.
Sitting in Troye's room again, I continued writing for my book. Troye was, as always, planning for his next big thing at his desk alongside his Mac. As I was typing, I got extremely immersed into my writing, until an iMessage text popped up on my laptop screen. It was from my sister, with an attached picture showing me that she had voted for me for the Teen Choice Awards. A little message that was sent after the picture showed up directly afterwards. It read: "Good luck!" I stared at the screen. "Oh shit." Troye spun around in his chair to face me. "Is everything alright?"
"The Teen Choice Awards are in three days."
"Oh."
"I can't believe I forgot." I placed my hand on my forehead and slowly dragged it down my face, upset with myself. Troye and I both sat in an uncomfortable silence until I began to speak. "I'm sorry."
"Why? Nothing's you're fault. It's my fault for booking your ticket with out knowing what else was going on with you prior t-."
"I can't stay." Troye's face went pale. His facial expression looked as if I had just insulted him in the worst way possible. "Okay." Troye responded while doing a mixture of gulping and exhaling. I couldn't believe that I had been off Twitter long enough to forget about the Teen Choice Awards. "I need to head back, I'm sorry."
"It's okay, really, it's not your fault."
"It's not yours either. You didn't know."
"And that's why I shouldn't have done anything without knowing. Now by the time you get back you're going to be exhausted."
"I'll be fine, don't worry about me." I smiled at Troye, and though he didn't think I meant it, I really did. Troye had made his way from his desk over to me on his bed, standing close. "I'll be fine." I laughed, staring into Troye's eyes. I stood up just to kiss Troye on the cheek, and then sat back down to get to booking my ticket back to LA.
