Here's a history lesson about the trans flag. It was created in 1999, by a trans woman named Monica Helms. It was first shown at a pride parade in Phoenix, Arizona the year after she made it.
She carefully designed it to reflect all trans identities. There are other designs for the trans flag, but Helms' flag remains the most widely used trans flag. For more information, you can check out some websites.
