I get this question a lot, actually, and it kind of dumbfounds me. Know one will know if you're transgender except you. And trust me, you'll know.
It's natural to have doubts or confusion surrounding it, especially if you've been taught that it's wrong or not real.
I think you'll know if it's truly you, though. Some ways to tell could be if you keep coming back to the term because you feel somehow connected to it, or if it really just feels like it fits. If you experience dysphoria surrounding your chest or genitals, or maybe even your voice or height, that could also be a telling sign.
Only you know how to know if you're transgender, though. It's an incredibly personal journey, and it's different for everyone. Just remember that, and time will tell if you really think the term fits you or not.
