"Romeo!" I wave to him over the phone.

"Hey Maddie, how's it going over in Florida?" He asks.

"Good, how's it back in London?"

"Okay, except for the part where Brooklyn has been trying to convince mum to fly over and see you. Either that or he's always saying how he misses you." He tells me.

"Well, he seems... okay."

"Trust me, it's kind of annoying."

I laugh and soon a certain voice rings from the phone.

"Romeo, who are you talking to?"

Romeo tells him one of his friends.

"Romeo's talking to his girlfriend!" The boy shouts.

"More like your girlfriend." He tells him.

"Maddie?" Brooklyn says instantly.

"Well duh."

"Let me talk to her." Brooklyn tells Romeo.

"Talk to her on your own. In talking to her right now." Romeo tells him.

"Fine, I will." He leaves the room and Romeo turns to me.

"Every time he calls, don't answer it for a couple hours." I nod and we talk for some time before saying our goodbyes and it's at that time that Brooklyn calls.

I decline it and he leaves a voice message.

"Maddie, you're making me broken hearted. Love you."
