Finally. All his plans and hard work had already come to fruition.
He leered as he remembered all the pain that he'd been through and all the people who looked down on him. He's finally on their level, or maybe even higher and soon they'll see - whether they like it or not - that where he is now, is where he definitely belongs.
All the pain that he went through? It was like he'd been through hell and back. But he's here, he survived and what didn't kill him made him stronger.
The last six years of his life was spent plotting the perfect retribution, and all because of one person. He closed his eyes as he recalled the face that ignited the hate in his heart now.
I'll get you, with or without your consent. I'll make you see how easy it is for me to do so now. I no longer have to stand on tiptoe and stretch my hands up and ask you to pull me in. I can do that now, without your help.
But so much has changed since then. He looked around and appreciated his penthouse at the top of the most luxurious condominium building in the city. The place was one of the first projects that he built after he acquired his father's inheritance. His unit had expensive hardwood floors, posh furniture, state of the art appliances and floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the city skyline. It was such a far cry from the dingy apartment that he moved into right after his mother died.
The memory of his mother still sends a sharp pang of pain in his heart. He breathed in and closed his eyes, still feeling the agony of losing the only person that believed in him.
Ma, sana nandito ka ngayon.
Richard Faulkerson Jr.'s mother was a beautiful woman inside and out. Maybe that was the reason why his father, an American serviceman deployed in the Philippines at that time, fell in love with her fast when they first met. But just like any other soldier, no place was permanent and he had to leave. Communication had been hard until they never heard of each other anymore in the long run.
He searched for his father after his mother died and six years ago, he met him. It didn't take long for the man to recognize him for Richard was a spitting image of his old man. From the way the man cried when he realized that his mother has already passed, it was obvious that what the man felt for his mother was real. It will always be the saddest story for him that they had allowed their differences to defeat them and prevent them from being together.
Richard Faulkerson Sr. became a businessman after his service and had become a very successful one at that. Being the only scion to the older Faulkerson, RJ was sent to school and was later on trained to handle the business. Now he is CEO to one of the most successful real estate company in the US and with all the knowledge he had acquired, was also able to tap the Philippine real estate scene and is now starting to gain ground.
And now that everything's already perfectly laid out, he's now ready to bring the pain to the people who deserved it.
He's here and he's going to make people see that he's back.
He's going to make HER see that he's back.
