I need to talk about an episode, and this one just so happen to pop into my head.
The answer is the story of how Ruby and Sapphire met and how Garnet came to be. I will try to avoid talking about the characters themselves.
Garnet tells Steven the story of how the two who made her met. And how she came to be. The story itself is really cute, especially with the little dance they did in the forest. But I feel we are only getting part of the story. Blue diamond was livid that Ruby and Sapphire fused, but I think it was more so because of ranks than anything. Sapphire was an aristocrat and Ruby was a solider. If Ruby would have fused with another Gem from Blue Diamond's court that was of the rank, they would not have cared... Probably. Plus Rose was a little to quick to trust Garnet. I mean Garnet could have easily unfused and try to convince Blue Diamond that they could be of use, went to find Rose's locations and tell Blue Diamond.
But all and all it was a beautiful story
