I'm dead serious guys. It's probably just me, but I'm concerned just a little bit.The definition is pretty clear, so please watch the clip in its entirety.
It's revealed that during the time when Jasper was kept prisoner by Lapis for months at the ocean floor, she came to admire Lapis for her power and become absolutely obsessed with the Power High of being Malachite to the point that now that she's free, she's desperate to become her again. Lapis also revealed to Steven that she misses being fused with Jasper since it gave her the chance to release all her anger out on Jasper, though Lapis had enough sense to know that the fusion was not healthy for either of them and refused Jasper's plea for them to fuse into Malachite again.Plus Jasper literally stalked Lapis,so..... So Lapis also may have Lima Syndrome. Now Lapis is a walking case of this. She enjoyed torturing Jasper and releasing her anger towards...whoever, onto Jasper. I mean she was the one who kept Jasper trapped in Malachite and not the other way around. Granted it was a forced fusion initiated by Jasper, but it was Lapis who imprisoned Jasper.
I'm done being everyone's prisoner, now you're my prisoner and I'm never letting you go.
I can't stop thinking about Malachite, how I used all my strength to hold her down, how I kept Jasper bound to me.
This are actual lines of dialogue spoken by Lapis.
Now Stockholm and Lima were named after some hostage situations. Stockholm is named after a bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden..? in the 1970s. The hostages raised money for legal fees, refused to testify in court, and wrote to their captors. In 1996, a terrorist group took some hostages in Lima, Peru but released them after some time after bonding with them.
Lapis' Lima Syndrome mirrors Jasper's Stockholm Syndrome. I'm deeply concerned for the both of them.
