Why do people hate Lars?
I mean he's up there with Kevin but not as high as him.
Lars is not all that bad. He like Amethyst,or even Steven, and has low self-esteem. It showed when he was a kid. Lars can be immature and thoughtless at times, such as when he disrespects Steven's mother, but he was just frustrated with the situation they were in.Steven either misses or ignores Lars' taunts because he believes he is a good person deep down, and he is, he just don't show it much.
Lars has a strong desire to fit in and cares deeply about how others view him, especially the cool kids. Despite his rude facade, he seems to have a bit of a soft side that has been brought out time and time again by Sadie and Steven.
To me, Lars can be a good person, but he just needs the right motives.Sadie seems to be the best bet, there are times where he abuses her kindness and take advantage of it. If they are in a relationship,I hope it lasts, because let's be honest who would actually put up with him and his habits.
