Okay with the whole Amedot vs Lapidot thing dying out, I wanted to start giving my opinion on ships. At first the first one was going to be Lapidot, but then someone decide to talk three types of shit about my OTP, Rupphire, but now that it's done, Lapidot bashing can begin.....NOW
Ok at first Lapidot aka Lapis Lazuli and Peridot, was a crack ship. Like they have very little in common. Now it's like LAPIDOT FOREVER.Nd we all know how well that ended* cough* Lauren Zukes*cough*
Lapidot is not the best relationship, and I compiled a list of things they have in common as of " Back to the Moon"
- Had to deal with Jasper.
- Live at the barn
- Prefers Steven to the Crystal Gems ( even though Peridot is probably technically a CG)
- Tried to kill Steven and the CG
- Can't go back to HW
Not much is known about Lapis' past other than what was told. And we know Peridot is a newer gem and has to rely on tech because of limited materials back on Homeworld.
I personally think their relationship is something along the lines of sisters. Like they care about each other, but not in the romantic way.
As I stated before, we know more about Peridot than Lapis. If there is more to Lapis, then the only ones who would most likely know is Sapphire( possibly in Blue Diamond's court together), Jasper ( Fused for so long) and Lapis herself. Peridot we can sort of piece everything together as the show goes on.She has limited abilities, she's a tech gem, was under Yellow Diamond, borderline useless without her gem tech.
But that's just me...
