Why hate Kevin and not Lapis or Peridot?

Why does Steven have a major hate boner for Kevin..but not Peridot or Lapis? I mean it. I mean besides that fact that Kevin is a creep and annoying to be around for more than five minutes ( which is pushing it), he didn't really do anything to Steven, plus he's rarely around. Whereas Peridot, who attacked the Crystal Gems, worked on the Cluster, talked three types of shit about Rose , and almost got them killed by contacting a diamond.And Lapis, who stole the ocean *e is very condescending and thinks very highly of himself. This is emphasized when he flirts with Stevonnie, saying that they were "angels among garbage people". He is also inconsiderate, completely ignoring the fact that Stevonnie did not like him and wanted to be left alone.(with a cracked gem) almost drowned Steven and Connie, broke Greg's leg, and then created one of the most unstable fusions and basically drove Jasper off the deep end, plus I still think she's hiding something.

I don't this is the case for two reasons. 1) Lapis almost drowned Connie and Steven forgave her, and 2) as part of Stevonnie, Steven would have been just as uncomfortable. No, I think the reason is empathy."

Now I understand Steven is a forgiving person, and he really cares about Connie, but Lapis literally tried to drown her...with a cracked gem. I just want to understand why. 
So I continued to read the reddit post and one user replied with:

And then they explain why. Yes I understand Lapis wanted to go home, but she could have asked the Crystal Gems, Steven could have talked to them...somehow.Yes Peridot was just following orders, but so was Jasper and I didn't see a redemption arc for her....Speaking of Jasper, he's even forgiven her..sort of. 

I can not think of any possible way of why Steven thinks that almost getting killed is forgivable but a jerk off deserves to hated the moment he comes into a two feet radius of him. 
What I am trying to get across is...why is Steven so empathetic for Lapis and Peridot, but not for Kevin?
