Breaking Ice

Chapter 17

Amelia's POV:

   Why did I let them leave? Where the hell are they?

"Uhm someone call the hospital and see if they've been admitted or something" Travis said to the kids

"I got it" Ice said getting out of the car

"Mom it'll be okay take a deep breath" Ice said coming to my window

     Isaac grabbed Hayden and brought her into the house. I was so worried. Sure Steve can hold his liquor but he had too many. My rule I didn't even try to enforce it. The two most important people from my childhood are lost. I don't know what to do.

"Ahme lets go inside, drink some tea and calm down" Travis said kissing my forehead

     I followed him into the house and flopped onto the couch, head in my hands.

"Mom are you good" Isaac said sitting next to me

"What did you find out" I asked ignoring a question I had no answer for

"They had two John Does come in from a car accident, one was pronounced on the scene on 43rd and 12th but they don't have an ID yet" He sighed

"43rd and 12th is like four streets away from the bar on the way here" I said tearing up

    Travis handed me a cup of hot tea before sitting on the arm chair.

"I gave the nurse their names and my number for if they get an ID, even if something happened they will be ok, it's them, the strongest guys we know" Isaac said hugging me

"I love you so much Isaac" I said kissing his forehead

"Why don't you go into bed I'll wake you if anything happens" Isaac said

"I can't I can't sleep not knowing what's going on" I said shaking my head

"It's the hospital" Isaac said picking up his phone

   He walked into the kitchen and started pacing. Fuck! This wasn't good. Isaac doesn't really get nervous only if something bad is happening.

"Ok the first guys weren't Steve and Luke but they just got another car accident and it was Luke and Steve" he said trailing off towards the end

"Shit are they okay!" I asked panicking

"She couldn't tell me anything over the phone since I'm a minor" he sighed

"Isaac time to break out your permit you're driving since I can't even think straight" I said handing him the keys

"Hayden let's go" Isaac yelled

It seemed like I was in a tunnel. Nothing was making sense all I can think about is Steve and Luke. Isaac drove to the hospital and the four of us ran in.

"Lucius and Steven CapaSon?" I said rushing to the nurses station

Yes they changed their last name to CapaSon and it's my favorite thing.

"May I ask your relation?" The nurse asked

"I'm Steven's sister and Lucius' sister-in-law" I said

"Lucius is in room 113 and Steven is in the ICU" The nurse said

"Can we go see them" Isaac asked

"Lucius you can but not Steven" The nurse said with a sad smile

We followed the signs to Luke's room, I'm not gonna lie he looked horrible.
