Chapter 27

Amelia's POV:

We made it down to Florida after a long flight of Luke and Steve bickering over everything. It was a total nightmare. Once we got to Nicole's house everything calmed down.

"Mom" Steve grinned hugging his mom

"I've missed you kids so much, you need to come down here this summer with the kids" Nicole grinned hugging each of us

"We'll try but Lukey here might be a bit busy with his play" Steve grinned kissing Luke's forehead

"Congrats Lucas" She grinned

"We're gonna go put the bags in my old room" Steve said grabbing Luke

"So how are the babies Amelia" Nicole smiled sitting on the couch

"Not much of babies anymore but they are doing alright" I nodded

"It seems like just yesterday you kids were graduating high school" she laughed

"Now Isaac's a sophomore, how did I get so old"

"See that's what I was saying, how's he doing"

"He has a girlfriend now and he seems to be alright since he went back to therapy, how have you been"

"That's good. I've been dealing with James' death pretty well Matthew has been helping a lot"

"How are you guys?"

Matt and Nicole had broken up for a while after Steve and Luke's wedding. Zach who I was good friends with in high school was Matt's son whom Steve slept with which caused the huge fiasco that was the first calling off of the CapaSon wedding.

"Well I think this tells the story" she grinned putting her left hand out

"Holy Shit! Congrats" I grinned

Mother N is engaged.

"I haven't told Steve or Luke yet so keep it down low" she smiled

"I'm so happy for you" I smiled

"So how are you, have you started dating again? or.."

"Yeah I've actually started seeing Travis, we've been hanging out every weekend and I've been working with him. It's been nice"

"How long has this been going on"

"Late September"

"I'm happy you really deserve it"

"As do you Momma N" I grinned hugging her

Steve and Luke came out of the bedroom and sat on the couch with us. We basically caught up on everything until Matthew came home. Luke, Nicole and I made dinner while Matthew and Steve talked in the other room.

"What are they talking about?" Luke asked

"Matt is asking Steve if it's okay to propose even though he already did" Nicole smiled

"Oh my gosh congrats Mom" Luke grinned hugging her

"What the fuck" we heard Steve yell

"Shit shit shit" Luke said leaving the kitchen

Steve stormed out of his old room and had an angry look on his face.

"Baby calm down lets go sit outside" Luke said grabbing Steve

Luke lead him outside and I could see Steve crying on Luke's shoulder. Everything is probably all catching up to him.

"Amelia can I ask you a question?" Nicole asked as she stirred the pasta

"Of course" I smiled

"Where was Steve all last week? He didn't answer any of my calls until Thursday"

"He didn't tell you?" I asked confused

"What? Is he okay?"

"He's okay now but Luke and him were in a car accident last Saturday, he had to get 2 surgeries"

"Oh my god, I'm going to kick that boys ass"

"It hasn't been that easy on him, Luke and him still have a lot of shit going on with recovery and their relationship. Luke is stressed with his play and Steve with the bar. Steve hasn't taken James' death lightly if I'm being honest with you" I said

"That's why I didn't tell him how he died, I didn't want him to freak out and drink heavy again" Nicole said tearing up

"What happened to him"

"He got really drunk and took his meds, which we all know not to take antidepressants with alcohol because it counteracts it and he didn't even write a note" She said bawling her eyes out

"Mrs.N I'm so sorry" I said squeezing her tight

We stood like that for a while before Luke and Steve came back in. They saw Nicole and I hugging and walked over and joined in.

"Mom I'm sorry" Steve said squeezing her

"Why didn't you tell me, I would have flown up there and helped you out"

"That's exactly why I didn't tell you, you have your life here and Luke and I obviously survived"

"But what if you didn't Steven, I wouldn't have known if you two were alive or dead next time you have Amelia or the doctors call me right away. I can't lose you again Steven" she said squeezing him tight

"I love you mom" Steve said with tears in his eyes

"I love you too Steven" Nicole sobbed

Matt came back out of the room and sat around the living room. Steve was starting to come around to the idea of them getting married while Luke was on the fence about his husbands ex-booty call being his brother-in-law.

"Where is Zach tonight?" Nicole asked

"Johnny's, Enraea has a cold and wanted them both there" Matt answered

"I thought he wasn't in town" I asked confused noting that Steve was getting anxious

"Enraea got sick and she's been getting sick more frequently so he came back" Matt shrugged

"He's not coming tomorrow is he?" Steve asked

"No honey, why would he?" Nicole answered

"I don't know, oh shit" Steve said getting up and running to the bathroom

    Confused and worried I followed him. He sounded like he was throwing up so I knocked on the door.

"Stevo you okay" I asked

"Come in please" he said

I opened the door and rushed in.

"I just realized that Zach is basically my brother now and I fucked my brother that's some incest type shit Ahme"

"He's not your actual brother Steve" I said holding back laughter

"This isn't funny" he said throwing toilet paper at me

"It is" I said laughing, falling to the floor

"What's going on in here" Luke asked

"He thinks because he fucked Zach, that it's incest" I said laughing again

"Oh my Hoppus Steven" Luke said laughing holding onto the wall

"Fuck both of you" Steve said grumpily

"You can't that's incest" Luke laughed

  Steve walked out of the bathroom angrily leaving Luke and I laughing on the floor. Just like old times.
