Breaking Ice

Chapter 13

      After what may have been the most awkward lunch in the history of lunches, I started getting ready for homecoming.  I slid on the purple shirt and of course it fit perfectly, I did not know how to tie a tie, this is going to be a problem. I could hear Luke screaming through the walls so it was probably a bad time to ask him.

    It was probably best to wait until I was ready to leave for that one. Dress pants however were very easy to put on and uncomfortable.

"Mom is it a requirement to wear dress pants to homecoming" I yelled

"Why?" She yelled back

"They are so uncomfortable I can not deal"

"Do your black jeans without the holes in the knees still fit?" She asked

"Yeah"

"Wear those instead buddy" she yelled

    My mom is a fucking genius. Now I was ready to spend eight years doing my hair. The dye had killed it a bit so it wasn't as curly, messy as it usually is. I brushed it and then just went with it.

"For once in my life could you just look good" I asked my hair

The doorbell rang downstairs and I still hadn't tied my tie.

"Everyone's here Ice" Mom yelled

"I can't tie my freaking tie" I yelled

"Jeez Ice I'll tie it" she yelled

I went downstairs and Mom tied my tie. Bless her. Carly looked amazing, her hair looked so cool with the purple holy shit. I really like this girl. Corey was going with Jacki since they kind of had a thing going on. Xavier and Quinn were going together because they don't have that great of luck with the female species.

"You look amazing" I smiled at Carly heat rushing to my face

"Not too bad yourself" she smiled

    Mom took some pictures against our will and then drove us to school. We got out of the car and everyone was waiting outside the gym to get in.

"So you and Jacki" I smiled at Corey

"Bros can date the others bros cousin right?" He asked

"Yeah sisters and moms are the only thing off the table" I laughed

     The doors finally opened and shitty radio music was playing.

"Honestly why didn't they ask us to make the playlist" Xavier laughed

"Honestly that party had the best music ever" I smiled

"Why thank you kind sir" Carly laughed

"Cor are we still on for Halloween?" Jacki asked

"Hell ya" he cheered

Carly pulled me onto the floor where everyone was dancing. It was finally a good song, Good Charlotte of course.

"You look really hot" she smiled

"Fuck so do you" I grinned

"Question." She said

"Answer"

"How many people have you dated before?"
