Steve's POV:

Amelia sat down next to me and started fluffing my hair. This is why she's here, she always knows what I need. It's probably a mom thing. Hopefully Luke and I can adopt a kid soon. Seeing how our lives are right now it just keeps getting farther and farther.

"Want to go to Nemo's?" Amelia asked

"Yeah it's been a while" Luke smiled

"Sure" I shrugged getting up

"Steven can I speak with you" Victoria said coming up behind us

"You've done enough" Luke said gripping my hand

"Baby it's fine" I said

"I'm sorry. James hadn't revised his will in a few years and he told me you guys had a falling out. I had no idea you were actually coming and if I had known I would have let you speak" she said almost genuine sounding

"We had a falling out 15 years ago but he came to my wedding which was hell 8 years ago, how long have you been married?"

"We got married well 18 years next Friday"

"What, he's never once mentioned having a girlfriend let alone a wife"

"It wasn't as black and white as it should've been. He was always in and out of reality. For the majority of the time he didn't even realize my daughter and I were there. He'd come home from work, call you and go to bed."

"My mom lied to me didn't she, he didn't just have depression"

"No honey, I'm sorry"

"Luke can we go home?" I asked on the verge of tears

"Of course baby" he sadly smiled

We got into the car and the whole day ran through my head. I blew up in a church, I yelled at a woman I've never met, and now I'm crying.

Luke pulled into the drive way, without a word I went inside to my room. The first thing I did was take a shower. I neatly lined my shoes up, socks inside, hung up my pants and blazer, and folded my shirt and tie.

My hair has grown out to my shoulders and washing it feels so nice. It's such a soothing process, but tiring at times. My hair hasn't been this long since junior year of high school. Since then I've been trying the whole Milk and Pearl hair but now it's more Violet Chachki.

"Cover girl put the bass in your walk head to toe let your whole body talk" I sang moving my hands along with it

"Baby can I come in" Luke asked from the other side of the door

"No I'm almost done" I called back

I finished up and dried off. I blow dried my hair then tied it up in a bun. I felt so much better now. My nerves were calmed, my anger had cooled down and my sadness had turned neutral.

"Hey" I smiled

"Can I talk to you?" He asked

"I don't want to talk about today I just washed it all away" I sighed

"No it's not about today" he said grabbing my hand and pulling me onto the bed

"Ok what is it. Are you okay holy shit" I said grabbing his face

"I want a kid, I want them to actually be old enough to talk at our funeral if we die. We've been putting this off for 5 years and I don't want to wait any longer. We don't have to start filling out papers today we can wait until the play. I just want to start something because I want to have a kid before the end of next year" he spilled not taking a breath
