Chapter 14

Amelia's POV:

Isaac and Hayden are growing up way to fast, it's crazy. It feels like just yesterday Isaac was born and now he's a sophomore. Where has the time gone?

I've been working at a salon downtown and it was really fun. I couldn't even pick up my camera again after that night. So once I had put myself back together, I went to school to become a hairdresser. Coloring being my specialty.

It's crazy how much it's changed here. Sky and Jordan split up, Ashley and Abbey moved to different states, Laura has been traveling so much. The only time we are all together is Christmas. We go into the city and then come back the same night.

I've heard two different stories about what happened between Sky and Jordan, both of them involving cheating. Ronnie told me that Jordan cheated on Skylar with his longtime girlfriend, but Ashley told me that Skylar cheated on Jordan with Tanner a tattoo artist I was friends with. I can't get a solid answer from anyone, it's been 3 years and no one will open up.

"Steve I'm going to go see Travis" I yelled

"Princess can I talk to you" Steve asked seriously

"What's up" I said sitting at the kitchen table

"Do you have feelings for him?" He asked

"No. Well. I don't really know Stevo" I said confused

Thank Hoppus the kids were at school.

"He's a great guy and you know how I am when it comes to guys for you. I trust him" He smiled

"I doubt he even thinks of me more than a friend and I don't know if I could date you know" I sighed

"He does Ahme. The way he looks at you. He's so good with the kids. And the fact that he told me. It's going to be different but you don't have to do anything you aren't ready for" he smiled

"I'm 33 Steve aren't I too old for this"

"He's 37. No you aren't too old if anything you are too young for all of this" he laughed

"Should I ask him out or wait for him. Shit should I talk to the kids about this first"

I was so out of my mind.

"Wait for him. It won't be too long of a wait trust me" Steve laughed "now go"

Once I got into the car I let out a deep breathe. I've been hanging out with Travis a lot in the past year. He didn't have much family around here so he came around for a few holidays. The kids seemed to like him a lot. He had a lot in common with Isaac and told a lot of great puns. Hayden and I are huge fans of puns. Maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for me to date him.

I had made it to his tattoo shop. I had helped him decorate it a few years ago, when I was trying to find myself. It had a Tim Burton-esc theme to it. I helped out during the day while the kids were at school when I had days off from the salon.

"Hey Travis" I smiled when I walked in

"Hey Ahme" he smiled

The day went by fast. The last appointment of the day was leaving. How did I not realize that it was so late? Looking at the clock I saw that it said 8:30.

"Holy shit when did it get so late?" I asked

"Well you see there is thing called time that goes by" Travis laughed sarcastically

"Time only exists so not everything happens at once" I retorted

"Sick Einstein quote" he laughed
