Josh's POV:

The door opened and a salt and pepper, stressed looking Tyler walked into the house. The years were not good to him, not that I look any better.

Jenna stood up and greeted him, guarding him from seeing me before taking him into the kitchen. I kept rubbing my hands on my jeans, I was nervous. Jacki and Josh had gone back upstairs.

"You're lying Jenna" Tyler yelled sounding upset

It didn't take long for him to storm out to the living room. I stood up and took a deep breathe.

"Dog Breathe" he whispered, jaw dropping to the floor

"Baby boy" I grinned

"You're not here I'm imagining all of this" he said, his eyes glistening

"I'm real Ty, I'm right here"

"I've missed you so much" he said tackling me in a hug

"I missed you too" I said squeezing him

We sat down and I explained everything, for the billionth time. He seemed angry but was more relieved that I hadn't died.

"Does Amelia know?" He asked

"Yeah I've actually stayed with her the past few days" I answered

"You've been here for a few days and waited this long to tell me" he said sounding shocked, shaking me.

"I wasn't even sure if I was going to stay, I was sitting in your driveway and thinking about leaving." I sighed

We caught up on everything. He didn't want to make new music but he just kept writing and wanted people to hear it. He was working at the studio in the city, was messing around and ended up making a whole record. His music has always been amazing, but this was so much better. It was so raw, the music we made together sounded fabricated compared to what he had made on his own.

We talked about our kids as well. He told me even more than Jacki and Amelia had. I told him about my adventures in Portland which sounded boring compared to anything he said. He told me the bare minimum about the antics of my siblings and my mom. Since I was seeing them in a few days, I'd be getting the full story.

"Lets go celebrate" Ty smiled

"To Chipotle?" I grinned

"Jenna get the kids we're going to Chipotle" Tyler yelled with the biggest grin

It felt good to have my best friend back. Living in Portland made me realize how much I took Tyler for granted. Not having your best friend with you when you need him the most is the most painful experience and I don't wish it on anyone. I didn't have many friends there since I was terrified of having to tell them about what I had done. Being mysterious, and alone in your forties steers people away from you. Co-workers would try to set me up but I couldn't tell them I was married, so I just went along with it. It felt good to be home even if it was rough for the time being. I had my best friend back.

I got into my car and picked up Amelia and the kids. Isaac was upset about having to get in the car with me but did so anyways. We met up with The Joseph's at Chipotle.
