Breaking Ice

Chapter 18

Isaac's POV:

Despite Luke and Steve being in the hospital we still went over to grandmas. Don't get me wrong I love going over there but we didn't get home until 6 in the morning and we were going over at noon.

"Mom I'm dying" Hayden yelled

"What fake disease do you have now?" Mom asked

"Sleep deprivation" she complained

"Oh no I guess we'll have to find a cure! Isaac come here" Mom said sarcastically

     Knowing what it was I turned the shower on to the coldest it was and helped mom carry Hayden into the bathroom. Together we put her into the freezing water.

"I hate you guys so much" Hayden said flipping her wet hair back and stomping out of the room

"You're awake now aren't you" Mom laughed

"Okay it's 11 right now and we've got to be out of the house by 11:30 so hurry up and get ready" Mom said rushing downstairs to her room

    I changed into a black and grey flannel with a maroon shirt. Being the lazy idiot I am, I stayed in my black sweatpants that smell slightly of hospital.

    Luke would be in there for a few more days and Steve for a week or so.

"You ready" Mom yelled grabbing her varsity jacket

We all got in the car and picked up Carly.

"How's Luke and Steve" Carly asked

"They are doing okay, making jokes as usual" I laughed

"Of course they are" she smiled

"Are you ready to meet my family" I laughed

"I think so, is Steve the worst one?" She asked

"No one is worse then Steve" I joked

"Mom who's all gonna be there" Hayden asked

"Joseph's, your aunts and cousins, Jordan, grandma, uhm I think that's it" Mom answered

"No Travis?" Hayden asked

"Hell no, I do not want Grandma to kill me" Mom said shaking her head

"I doubt she thinks you'll be single forever" I joked

"Here's the thing, you don't bring your new interest to your in-laws house" Mom said carefully

"You got me there" I laughed

    We finally made it to Grandmas house. She still lives in the same house she did when dad was growing up. I think that's really cool. Hayden sprinted to the gate in the fence, you could say she was excited.

"Hey grandma!" Hayden yelled rushing to her

    Carly laced our fingers together and squeezed my hand the closer we got to the fence.

"You okay Carly?" I asked her

"Just a little nervous" she said with a nervous smile

"Fun fact, I have a cousin named Carly too she's like 3 years older then us and is really chill and I'll be there and so will Jax, everything will be okay" I assured her

"Lets do this" she smiled

I opened up the gate door to see basically my whole family.

"Ice I haven't seen you in like eight billion years" Delilah said squeezing me

"I saw you on my birthday Del" I laughed

"It's basically been a whole year" she laughed "who's this"
