Chapter 32

Isaac's POV:

   Today was results day. We found out who wins the Issues contest today. Our video was really good, if I do say so myself but the other teams had amazing videos as well.

Everybody was going to gather round at the house later when the results get announced. It was going to be announced on a live stream.

"Mom do we have food for everybody" I asked

"Yes Ice calm down you've asked that four times already" Mom answered

"I'm nervous Mom I really want to meet Issues. On my own without you calling them"

"In the freak incident that you don't win I'll take you guys to the show"

"Thanks mom for the support"

"Aye either way you'll get to see the show"

"I really want to win we worked so hard"

"I know kid" she said hugging me

     There was a knock on the door so I quickly got out of her grasp and opened the door. Quinn and Xavier were on the otherside, hands full of soda and party poppers.

"Isaac my boy are you ready for the best day of your life" Xavier said in a fake British accent which sounded odd mixed with his heavy Long Island accent.

"Xavier you're from Long Island stop already" Quinn said pushing him

"Fuck off" Xavier said coming into the house dropping the soda in the kitchen.

"Language boys" Mom yelled from the garage

   Quinn was able to connect the laptop up to the tv for when they announce the winners. By the time he was done Carly, Jax and Corey were here. Thankfully Corey and Jax have become friends again. Corey had four pizzas in hand. This is why he's my best friend.

"Is Jenna and Ty coming" Mom asked  Jacki

"Yeah Dad's on his way back from the city and Mom's getting done with work and picking Josh up from a friends" Jacki smiled

Living outside of Columbus we've come accustomed to just calling it the city or into town.

"Luke and Steve are coming right?" I asked

"Of course" mom smiled "and Travis"

"Cool" I shrugged

  We went up to my room who we waited for everybody to come home. Carly popped open my window and we went out to smoke. Quinn and Corey kept pushing each other so Jacki became an overprotective mom anytime they lost balance.

"I'm nervous, what if everyone comes over and we lose" Xavier said

"Don't worry about it we have pizza" Corey laughed

"I just hope that who ever wins deserves it and it's not just some shitty concept" Carly shrugged

"Dad said he thought it was great and he used to do shit like this" Jacki said

"But he's also Ty who is too nice for his own good" I jokingly pushed her

"Isaac!" Carly yelled reaching out for Jacki

"MOM!" I yelled

"Jesus fucking Christ Isaac why are you kids up here" she yelled

Jacki was gripping onto the gutter trying her hardest to pull herself up. Mom quickly grabbed my bass strap and connected it to Carly's belt loop. Carly reached down lower grabbing Jacki's hand and pulling her back up.

"I'm so fucking sorry Jacki are you okay" I said hugging her tightly

"Get off the damn roof" mom yelled at us

"Isaac Ronald Dun why were you on the roof, you all could have gotten yourselves killed." Mom yelled steam blowing out of her ears

"Haha your middle names Ronald" Quinn laughed

"Okay Quinnton Gerard" I laughed

"It's not my fault my mom's as Emo as yours" Quinn laughed

"BOYS, I'm not joking around here Jax could have died and you guys are laughing. Isaac go check on Jax. Jeez" mom yelled

I walked out of my bedroom and into Hayden's , where Jacki and Carly were. They were all laughing, I couldn't have done too much damage.

"Hey guys how ya doing" I said rocking on my heels

"Alright, do you guys have an ice pack my wrist hurts like a bitch" Jax laughed

"Yeah I'll go grab it, I'm sorry for pushing you I didn't mean for you to fall" I told her

"Don't worry about it, I've got a cool story. Now let's go watch the Live stream" Jax smiled standing up and racing out the room.

Everyone followed running and screeching as one does. I headed straight to the kitchen to get the ice. As I opened the freezer the door bell rang.

"Mom door" I yelled

The next thing I knew I heard Tyler's chipper voice and Josh talking about some new toy. I still think it's weird that him and Dad have the same name. Sure he was Ty's best friend but it kinda creeps me out.

"Dad I almost fell off the roof" Jax laughed

"WEIRD GIRL WHY WAS MY BABY GIRL ON THE ROOF" Tyler yelled

"ASK MY IDIOT SON" Mom yelled back

"I HATE YOU BOTH" I yelled

Tyler gave me a death glare so I decided to explain. He looked like he was about to kill me but hey, Jax is still alive.

"Guys it's gonna start come on" Quinn yelled

I jumped over the back of the couch sitting between Carly and Corey. All of us squished into the couch while the adults and Steve were on the floor. Hayden and Josh were playing in the other room, not caring at all.

The music began playing and Carly screamed. Sky and Tyler popped up on the screen causing Jax to also scream. They started talking about how grateful they were for the entries. This was it. They were showing the top 5 videos with the winner last.

"First up from Columbus, Ohio" Michael said

"We didn't win" Quinn sighed

The video began playing but it was a video for Slow Me Down.

"FUCK" Quinn grinned "there is still a chance"

"Shit this one is so good" Xavier said

"Boys" Tyler said giving us a look

"Sorry" they both said

The video was really good almost better than ours. If they didn't win how the hell are we going to.
