Chapter 39

Isaac's POV:

It was Sunday morning which meant I had to go back home. I decided to walk since it was perfect fall weather. I said hello to all the excited dogs walking down the street. I love dogs. I finally made it home, I really don't want to be here.

"Isaac where the hell have you been, I called you, Corey, and Jacki and nobody answered" Mom yelled

"I was at Steve's. Calm down" I said calmly

"What do you mean Steve's? He lives here" she said confused

"He's moving out, him and Luke are taking a break" I said a bit annoyed

"Why doesn't anyone tell me anything" mom sighed

"Maybe if you stopped hiding out and smoking in your room you'll know what's going on in this house" I said getting frustrated

"Don't talk to me like that Isaac, I'm doing the best I can" She said getting teary eyed

"You're so unaware of everything going on here since you and Travis started dating I thought that it would change once you broke up but obviously not."

"Go to your room right now" mom yelled

"I was planning on it" I yelled going up the stairs

   Before I went into my room I took a quick shower. Steve hadn't gotten the water turned on in the apartment yet so I was a bit disgusting. I dried my hair and went back into my room.

After texting the group to see what's going on, I decided to clean my room. I blasted Waterparks and got going. Within thirty minutes all of my clothes, CDs and books were put away.

"Isaac get dressed we are going to dinner with Carter" Mom yelled

"It's two thirty why are we going to dinner" I yelled down the stairs

"By the time we get everybody and get into town it'll be 5. Don't argue with me I'm not very happy right now" Mom yelled

I put on the black jeans I wore to homecoming and a basic dark green flannel. I slid on my black vans before sliding down the railing of the stairs.

"Isaac Ronald, you better be on your best behavior tonight or so help me Hoppus you will not leave this house until Summer" Mom said glaring at me

"You look nice" I said honestly, might as well be nice. I'm not really a fan of angry Mom.

She was wearing a short sleeve dress with sheer sleeves going down the rest of her arm, showing off her tattoos. Her tattoos were pretty badass.

"Thank you. Now let's go" Mom said walking out the front door.

"Where's Hades and Luke?" I asked

"Hayden is with her friends and Luke is at the theatre, he started doing another play" She shrugged

"Him and Steve got in a really big argument last night" I said as we began driving

"Yeah Luke came home crying last night but wouldn't tell me why. What's happening with them"

"Steve wants a kid but Luke isn't ready, but he's tired of waiting. He doesn't think they should be together right now so he's moving into the apartment above the bar until he's ready to patch things up with Luke" I explained

"I thought Luke wanted a kid?" She asked confused

"He does but wants to wait until they settle into a house but Steve thinks they'll be fine living above the bar until they can get a house. Steve is tired of waiting and is on a totally different page then Luke" I elaborated

    We pulled up to Corey's house and honked the horn. He came rushing out of the house sliding on his shoe as he came down the driveway. Corey is never ready.

"Hey guys" Corey said jumping into the backseat

"Why have you ignored my texts you asshole?" I asked pretending to be angry

"Well my phone fell into the pool and I haven't had time to get it fixed" he shrugged

"How did it get into the pool?"

"I got really mad and threw it and it bounced off my bed and went through the window that I forgot was open and went splash"

"Idiot" I smiled shaking my head

We picked up the rest of the group and drove into the city to meet with Carter. I didn't really bring up being ignored.

Mom pulled up to the restaurant, Carter was sitting outside. All of us got out of the car, I grabbed Carly's hand and she smiled. At least she doesn't hate me. Moms entire mood changed when she saw Carter. It was different then when she was around Travis. It felt weird being here.

"Hey guys, thanks for coming" Carter smiled

"Thanks for inviting us" Jacki smiled

"Of course, your video was really cool. When I found out it was you guys it was even better"

"You don't know who sent it in before you watch it"

"Nah they just show us videos with numbers and we picked the best, you wanna go in" he asked smiling at mom

   We followed him into the small restaurant, it had about 12 tables without being crowded. We had to wait a bit since there was so many of us.

"Tyler party of eight" the hostess said

"I always forget your name is Tyler I'm so used to calling you Carter" Mom smiled

"I always forget my own name is Derek, I've gone by Tyler forever" he laughed

"Fuck you're right" she laughed

This was weird. We all sat at the round table. It went Mom, Carter, Xavier, Quinn, Corey, Jacki, Carly and me next to mom. We all talked about basic things, school, each other, and our excitement to see the show.

   Carly was internally freaking out over being near Carter.

"My ex-boyfriends last name was Dublin" He laughed "Irish?"

"I'm not a ginger for nothing" she laughed "it's not naturally this fire-y but it's pretty orange"

"This shit is wild" He laughed

We talked for a while before our food came. I've only met Carter a few times before but he seems pretty cool. I don't want mom to start dating him since she just broke up with Travis and that was a disaster.

Tuesday was the best day of my entire existence. I saw that after every show I go to but it was extraordinary. The boys did incredible and I can't thank them enough for putting on such a good show. Jon was amazing. When Tyler teleported during Hometown he was only like a section and a half away from but I couldn't see him cause I'm short but ahagshdhsh. Josh looked so cute and everyone cheered for him. Tyler's jaw dropped at one point and then started dumb grinning and it was amazing. I've made so many friends through Twitter because of this band ahg.
