--Eliza's POV--

The babies' crying was music to my ears, but when I saw Jeanna's hands go limp at her sides everything slowed down.  Eric was motionless.  I put the babies on the spare bed.  Brandon checked Jeanna's pulse and started doing compressions.  "Jeanna!  Jeanna wake up for me please?!"  Brandon was panicking.  She was the oldest, but she was our little girl.  "Jeanna, come on.  Wake up for daddy."  nothing.  "Anna, come on.  Zora, help her heal.  Please."  Brandon worked nonstop.  A strong light glowed from Jerica and Aleigh.  I picked them up.  "The healing powers."  The babies touched Jeanna and her body jerked seconds later.  She took in a sharp breath.

The next day, Jeanna was awake.  Eric slipped into a coma.  Jeanna slipped into a depression.  When she wasn't with Jerica or Aleigh, she was sitting by the window staring outside.  She was in the bedroom, nursing Jerica while in a rocking chair.  A blanket over her shoulder.  "You don't have to hide."

"The way the guys keep coming in here I should.  The only one who hasn't came in can't."

"Eric will be fine.  He was hurt pretty badly."  she hugged me with her free arm.  "You should be resting.  You had a close call too.  After you finish with these two little angels your dad and I will take them downstairs where they will be well protected and I want you to rest either in here or in with Eric.  No matter what your guards will be with you."

"Okay.  I will."  I sat down beside Aleigh on the bed.  "Mama?"  I looked up.  "Will you do something for me?"

"Sure baby."

"Please, don't let anyone hold them right now.  They're premature a-and I just..."

"Say no more.  Your dad and I won't let them go at all."

"I know they're hybrids, but grandpa said they are a little weaker than they should be."

"Okay,  Well we will let your grandparents hold them if we can't."

"Okay.  Thank you."

"You're welcome."  Brandon came in a few minutes later.  Jeanna passed Jerica to him.  He held her with one arm and used his other to help Jeanna down the stairs.  I followed them with Aleigh.  I handed Aleigh to Brandon and covered Jeanna up with a blanket after she took her place beside Eric.  Her hybrid was very weak, but just her presence would help heal Eric's wolf.

I sat in the kitchen with Brandon and my parents.  "They sure are adorable."

"Yeah.  They will definitely be attached to Jeanna."

"True, but when Eric wakes up they'll be wanting him a lot too.  Jeanna had the connection of them just being in the womb and being able to feel her heart beat and hear her voice.  Eric talked to them all the time and developed that connection.  They know who their father is."

"So I know where they got Jerica from but where did Aleigh come from?"

"Eric came up with it.  He combined Jeanna's and his name for Jerica and Aleigh was just the perfect name."

A couple of hours later, the babies were crying.  Jeanna came in from the room Eric was staying in and sat down.  I handed Aleigh to her.  "Why don't you just bottle feed them?"  Lauren asked.  Whatever was wrong with her last night was gone.

"The babies are premature enough that they need Jeanna's milk.  When they get strong enough then they can be switched to formula.  If Jeanna wants them to.  It's completely her choice."

"Eric's too."

"Oh boo hoo.  He's just going to die anyway."  Jeanna nearly dropped the baby.  I put my arms around Jeanna and the baby supporting her hold.
