You look up at the tree again and shake your head. Were you really just considering following a cat into the heart of the most dangerous tree you'd ever witnessed because you thought the cat somehow wanted you to join it? Ridiculous! 

Instead, you tiptoe through the tulips and behind the roses bushes, wear you crouch into a snug hiding spot in between two of them. There's been no sign of Harry and Ron yet, but you're sure they'll be there soon. 

You take a few deep breaths before the smell surrounding you begins to make you feel nauseated. You'd never liked roses, though you can't pinpoint why. The very smell makes you sick. You stand up to change hiding spots, but the Whomping Willow's limbs are in crushing mode once again. There's no way you can reach that knot in the tree unscathed. 

You absentmindedly scratch your arms until you feel a strange bump. You look down to see large purple pustules forming all over your exposed skin. 

Before you faint, your last thought is "This was a bad idea!"
