Virginie's Point Of View

December 1st

It's the early hours of the Friday morning and I'm growing tired of all my day of work yesterday. Jake totally abandoned me to dance with a bunch of gorgeous looking ladies and I'm a bit disappointed. I know I told him not to care about me and have fun, but dancing alone is never fun. At one point, Mr. Goodman joined me and as awkward it was at first to have my boss ask me to dance, it was also very exciting. I've been staring at him, trying my best to be subtle, he is hot. He knows how to move, he is confident, he makes me feel at ease. I can't really picture him as a bad guy even after everything Jake told me about his father. All I know now is that he dances well, drinks whisky and got invited here by the pretty young actresses that are dancing with Jake. We are both alone I guess.

I get out of my thoughts and get my cell phone from the pocket of my coat and look at the time. 2:49 AM. No wonder why I feel knackered. I look up at Mr. Goodman in front of me and excuse myself to call a taxi to head back to the hotel.

"Oh, no need for that. I was about to leave too. Would you like a ride?" He offers me politely, leaning down to my ear for me to hear him over the loud music.

"I don't want to disturb-"

"You are not. I wouldn't be offering if you were."

"Thank you. Let me just tell Jake-"

"No need. He's got his hands full of women. Come on." He says to me and I can't deny that.

He looks at him through the crowd with a frown and follows the way to the exit. So I do the same, I look through the crowd quickly and follow him outside where the cold air hits me hard.

With so many people dancing closely together to being outside where it's barely above the zero degrees, it's a major difference

With so many people dancing closely together to being outside where it's barely above the zero degrees, it's a major difference. I hold my coat tightly closed and follow him to his car. It gets me wondering what his car looks like. Jake has an Audi, so he probably will have something ever more luxurious. Who knows?

Since he is parked further away from the club, he asks me to wait for him to get the car. I take this time alone to text Jake to let him know I'm leaving with his father.

"I'm just letting you know, I'm leaving. Your father was here and he offered me a ride. Please don't drive, you have had a lot more than me to drink. Be careful and have a nice night. I'll see you tomorrow." I text him and send it just in time as I see Mr. Goodman pulling up in front of me.

He quickly gets out and comes to open my door for me. He is so classy and gentlemanly. It makes me smile and very happy to have someone do all these little attentions for me. He must do that to everyone, but the fact that it's my boss, hints me that I must have done some good job for him to be so kind towards me.
