Virginie's Point of View

February 10th

"Oh come on, Gynie. It must be the tenth dress you tried on. I like think you must be getting quicker at trying them on." I hear Gemma shouting from the other side of the curtain.

It makes smile instantly. Even though it's actually the fourth and last dress I am trying on, we have been here for maybe more than two hours. We have looked through the designs for the bridesmaids' dresses with Lou, my sister, Mom and Anne. I would have wanted for Cindy to be one, but with everything that happened with her brother, I don't know if it would have been appropriate. I wanted Gemma to be one also, but since I can't have Robin marrying us, I offered her to. She was a lot happier to do so and not wear one of the dresses. She was excited to start to write her speeches and get that certificate on the Internet. Anne was terribly honoured that I had this idea. I haven't told Harry yet, but I am sure he will be thrilled, even though he will probably joke about it.

"Get a grip, Gems. The longer it takes, the more free champagne we get." Lou retorts as quickly and I peak at them through the long cream-coloured curtain.

Lou.

We haven't been the closest, but she means a lot to Harry and since he is gone back in England, he reached out to her to accompany Gemma and help me organise this wedding. It thought it was very cute of him and I have been really enjoying this time together. Lux came with her and she is my new friend. She is a pure joy to be with. I love her. She has grown so much since the last time I had seen her.

Earlier, when they got to the boutique, I looked around with Lux on my back. She helped me choose all my dresses. She was so cute. I was like her life size Barbie she could play dress up with. On all the dresses she picked, I chose four of my favourites. I must admit, the three first weren't really me at all. They were pretty, but too 'princessy' for me. This last one is Gemma's favourite and honestly mine too out of all Lux's picks.

Harry really wanted me to start organising the wedding, but little does he know that I am trying my dresses today. He is spending a couple of days in a chalet in the middle of the woods with a couple of his buddies for Ed Sheeran's birthdays. I can't reach him in any way until he joins me in Montreal in a couple of days for Heidi's wedding. I haven't told her the news yet. I want to do it face to face. I owe her that.

The second we had chosen all of my dresses, Anne, Mom, Bie, Gemma and Lou sat on a large pearl couch and immediately got offered some champagne. So, before I headed in my cabin to try them on. I knelt in front of Lux, taking her hand in mine to make her sit next to me. I hushed my voice as if I was telling her a secret and told her another of my ideas.

"Would Lady Lux like to bring the rings to Uncle Harry and I the day of our wedding?" I smiled so widely to her as I was watching the genuine spark of excitation inside of her, showing in her face.

She looked behind her at her Mom and looked back at me with the most gorgeous little toothless smile I had ever seen.

"Plus, you'll get a beautiful dress like mine. Uncle Harry would be so happy."

I didn't even have the time to finish my last sentence that she shook her head vividly and got up on her feet to jump in excitement.
