Song for this chapter:
- Train Wreck by James Arthur (on repeat)
Virginie's Point of View
September 14th (2 years after honeymoon)
"Happy birthday, baby!" Harry chants to me softly as he comes to bed with a tray full of eggs and fruits from the hotel breakfast buffet.
"Breakfast in bed?! That is so sweet!" I let out as I straighten up in bed, putting absentmindedly my hands on my six-month pregnant belly.
"I know someone is hungry." He sits by the bed, puts the tray on my crossed legs and tells me with the most high pitched 'I'm speaking to little kids' voice.
"Breakfasts are life. I'd eat them for lunch and dinner as well." I growl out as I take a bite in a hurry to feed my impatient stomach.
"I know that."
"You are the best." I tell him with the most thankful smile, but frown the second I see him steal my food. "Hey! Go get your own."
"You better be glad you are pregnant and it's your birthday to be obeyed that way."
"Forever thankful!" I let out very enthusiastically as I tug on his shirt to pull him to meet my kiss.
Just like that, Harry pulls away but stays close to start to sing me happy birthday. His voice is so fragile and beautiful, it pulls me right into his irresistible charm that I almost don't realise the weird feeing I get inside of me.
I frown and almost panic when I do realise what just happened.
"Gyns? What's wrong?" Harry hurries by my side and takes the tray away from me.
"Harry?! Give me your hand."
"What--"
"Give me your hand!" I let out loudly in excitement as I take it on my own and put it on my belly. "Sing again."
He understands and starts to sing Happy Birthday again, but not to me. He sings for the baby to feel it kick again. It brings all the happiness in our world to feel it kick. Harry's eyes spark in the most beautiful shades of love there is. He leaves his hand on me as he pushes me back when his lips reach me. He lays on top of me, showing me just how wonderfully happy he is.
"This, today, us, our Christmas baby, they're the greatest gifts I could have on my birthday." I smile to him, his face hovering over me.
"Happy twenty-fourth birthday, Love. Thank you to have accompanied me to Mexico." He mirror me and dive his lips back on mine.
"I didn't really have a choice, did I?" I smirk to him and let him straddle me as he burries his lips down to my neck as I hear him giggle.
"I always want you with me, you know that. But it's true, you did not have a choice, not with all the birthday surprises I have planned for you, no." He murmurs against my skin, exciting every nerve in my body, making me very giggly.
