March 19th

"Come on, Lux." I encourage her to jump in the pool and join me.

"Is Uncle Harry coming?" She asks me as she indecisively looks back at the back door of the house, biting her little finger.

"He is changing into his bathing suit. He will be here shortly." I smile at her and swim to the steps where she is dipping both of her little feet and sitting at the top of.

"Mummy was with you Saturday, yeah?" She wiggles her feet in the water making it splash on me a little.

"She was. We were doing wedding stuff." I wink at her and come sit a bit lower on the steps.

"I want to do wedding stuff too." She cutely whines and it charms me completely. Her accent is so cute!

"What about once we are dry, we put a movie and you practice my make up for the wedding? Would you like that?"

"Yeah!" She smiles brightly and nods endlessly.

"You know what?" I lean closer to her as if I was telling her a secret, so she does the same. "Do you know who loves having make up on? Uncle Harry."

"But boys don't wear make up."

"Uncle Harry does. Your Mom always does his make up before he goes on stage or on telly." I tell her as I hear the back door open and I see my man come out quickly, from over Lux's shoulder.

"The last one in the water is a wimp." Harry shouts as he runs to jump in the pool.

In a quarter second, Lux and I look at each other and rush ourselves entirely in the water before Harry. Of course, he claims he was the first in, but, technically, both Lux and I were in before he even came out.

He swims to us and shakes his hair like a wet dog as he reaches for Lux. He takes her in his arms and lifts her up to throw her away in the deeper side of the pool. She flies the time of a few giggles and a scream and lands on her side.

"Uncle Harry!" Lux whines the second she gets back up and swims towards us. "Tell me before you do it again. My nose hurts. I didn't have the time to pinch it."

"Do you want me to do it again?" He bends his knees to just have his head out of the water.

"Yes. Do it again now." She orders with a toothless smile and it charms everything in me to see them together.

"What about I do it to Gynie instead?" He turns to me and I feel his arms taking a strong hold of me.

What?!

An arm is hooked under my knees and another under both of my arms as he lifts me out of the water to throw me not as far as he did with Lux for obvious reasons.

I was so happy Lou had asked me and H to babysit Lux for the day as she, Gemma, her boyfriend Michal, my parents and Anne have volunteered to help decorate the cafe. I had met with a wedding planner that really helped me organise it all, because doing everything alone, in a so short amount of time, I had too much on my shoulders to enjoy this time to the slightest bit. Anne really wanted to be involved and my parents wanted to give me some time off, because planning is all I have been doing since we are in LA. I have barely spent any time with them and lesser with Harry. He has been meeting with Apple Music to produce his documentary as well as James Corden and Ben Winston to organise a week long residency special at The Late Late Show, that's why I have kept busy as well. He wants to do the most he can so that we can leave for our honeymoon clear headed. So, apart from our time at the bachelorette party and when we go to sleep, we don't see much of each other. This time today, with Lux, is very precious.
