The sun rose, its rays pulling Liat from her sleep.
She'd rested in the woods not far from the Rouge's village, in order to conserve her strength for her journey.
She quickly gathered her meagre belongings, then headed off once more, heading away from the Rouge's village, away from the battlefield, away from everything she knew.
She had a feeling that her destiny lay with something she'd never seen before, and someone she'd never met before.
Liat didn't know how she knew these things, but she was glad she hadn't gone to the battle with the Rebels, to fight the Band. War wasn't for her.
Because, if it came down to it, she couldn't kill someone.
Even if it was someone she hated.
