Liat had dropped the bombshell onto Althea, onto her mother.
She couldn't now double the shock of revealing her true identity.
Her parents would latch onto her as a way to get over the loss of their son. They wouldn't focus on him, on the memories they shared.
If what Jedi had told her was true, they had always wondered what had happened to her.
It proved to her that they did care about her, that they had abandoned her out of need and desperation rather than lack of love.
The knowledge of this was enough for now.
She could hide her identity while her parents grieved for the brother she barely knew.
