Liat walked into the Clan's village, alongside Emerson. She looked around herself in wonder, seeing the village at the height of its beauty.
'Jedi grew up here?' she asked aloud.
'Yes,' Emerson replied, a tiny smile rising to his face. His first smile since the battle. 'It's beautiful.'
'I can see that,' she responded quietly.
She closed her eyes briefly as she let out a shaky breath. Now to tell Marck and Althea that their son, their only son, was dead.
Liat stepped to the side as the procession of warriors continued into the heart of the village.
'Are you okay, dear?' a kind voice asked from one of the houses to her left.
