'Liat, this is –' Jedi began.
'Emerson Cly,' Liat finished.
'Okay,' Jedi thought quickly. 'Now that we've established who everyone is, lets go. We need to get out of here.'
They followed Jedi's lead out of the cabin and through the town
No one challenged them as they walked.
It was as if no one even knew that Liat had been a captive in the middle of the village.
Does she know why she was held in that tiny, windowless room? Jedi wondered as they walked up the hill outside of the village.
Why does she trust me as wholly as she does?
They made their way into the woods, and Liat moved to lead the way.
And as she picked up a deer hide pack from beneath a bush, along with a bow and arrows, Jedi understood why.
