'Yes. Your story matched everything my parents told me about the day they gave you up. They purposely chose the village because the man on guard looked kind.'
'Zan,' Liat whispered, a smile on her face. 'They chose well.'
'Did he treat you well?' Jedi asked, leaning forward with his elbows resting on his knees.
'Yes,' Liat's smile grew. 'He was always there for me, even when I knew he wasn't my real father.'
