Emerson led Quinn Justus through the trees.
Jedi noticed Emerson look around surreptitiously, yet knew that he was looking for Liat.
'Verity had to go,' Jedi explained, subtly explaining that Liat didn't want to be exposed to Quinn. 'She saw – ' he broke off when Emerson interrupted, receiving Jedi's unspoken message.
'Okay, okay. Quinn, this is Jedi Ross. Jedi, this is Quinn Justus, leader of the Rogue resistance,' Emerson introduced the two.
Jedi simply nodded at the introduction, unable to block Liat's words from his mind.
'We can't trust Quinn.'
'Emerson told me a little about the situation, and I have a few ideas,' Quinn began.
'Sounds good,' Jedi responded after a short pause, blinking to try and clear Liat's words from his mind.
But it failed.
'He'll kill me.'
