Liat opened her eyes at her captor.
He walked over to where she lay on the dirt floor.
He bent over her threateningly, trying to intimidate her.
When she didn't respond, he backed off, plunking some dry bread and dirty water next to her on the floor.
'Maybe that'll teach you to fear the Circle,' he spoke, then spun and strode out of the room, locking the door behind him.
She closed her eyes and sighed.
She knew she had to get out of here. This time it wasn't one of those visions or weird feelings.
It was their words that had tipped her off.
She had to think of a way out.
