Liat stared at the necklace in her hand.
It was an old, worn leather strap with a carved wooden disc hanging from it.
'Liat?' Jedi's voice broke into her musings.
She lifted her shocked gaze to meet his.
Instead of answering his unspoken question with words, she simply lifted her hand.The leather strap had twisted itself around her fingers, the disc resting against the inside of her wrist.
The disc was identical to the one hanging from Jedi's wrist.
On one side of the disc was a carving of a tree. On the other was the name of the owner.
Written on this one was the name 'Althea'.
The look in Jedi's eyes matched her own.
