**two months later**

I walk in the compound on my way to do errands when I bump into a female guard with dust brown hair and brown eyes.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't see you there- oh, wait! You're Elena, aren't you?" She smiles warmly.

I look at her, tall and slim. "Yeah," I say confused. "And you are?" I don't think I've ever seen her before in my life.

She sticks out a hand. "I'm Audrey, Eric's girlfriend. I don't think we've ever been introduced." She blushes embarrassed.

Of course she pretty. I can't decide whether I want to play it nice or claw her eyes out. "Nice to meet you," I go with the first option.

"I'm so glad I'm finally meeting you! I've been asking Eric to for months!" She beams.

"Well," I chuckle, "you know Eric," I more or less fake a laugh.

"Yeah. He's just a big, grumpy teddy bear." Still with a smile on her face.

I laugh genuinely, "especially around the kids, he just melts away all the mean." I smile at her.

"I've only ever seen it when he's around kids in the compound. I've seen pictures of Ean though, he's beautiful." She gushes.

"He's just like Eric," I smile at the thought of my son. "Wonder if baby two will be just like him as week," I touch my large overbearing stomach.

"Good luck with that by the way. Wait... is that like something people say? I don't know I don't have any of my own and I don't have any friends or family who did either so I'm not sure how this thing works." She chuckles.

I chuckle back. "I think good luck is a normal response," I say just as clueless, "either way I'll need some. Single mother raising two young sons."

"Yeah, that's a lot of work! Eric told me he wants to be there though and help out."

"No doubt he will, if there's something I know I can count on Eric for--it's for the kids."

"I know he tells me everything. I think it's so great that he's such a great father on top of how hard he works everyday." She practically gawks over him.

"That's my baby daddy," I say awkwardly as I rub my sweaty palms together.

She laughs and gives a polite smile. "I hope to see you in the future, it was nice meeting you, but I have to go now I don't want Eric hunting me down for taking too long to get ingredients for dinner we're making tonight." She jokes.

I bite my tongue and smile. "Tell him I said hi," she smiles back and we head in opposite directions.

I hate her. She's pretty, nice, everything that I'd hope she wouldn't be. Maybe I can use her to my advantage, become her friend to get under Eric's skin. Who wants their ex girlfriend and their current girlfriend to be BFF's.

The next week my legs feel swollen that I'm unable to move but it's my week with Ean so I call Peter and ask him to watch him while I rest on the couch.

I start feeling really bad and Peter even gives me a concerning look. I grab my stomach in pain--at first I thought it was rumbling because I was hungry. But these, they felt like contractions.

"Peter!" I say. "My water just broke." I'm completely panicking.

Peter is wide eyed and he practically starts jumping up and down repeating 'what do I do? Elena, tell me what to do!'

"I don't know! This isn't suppose to happen! I'm not ready," I'm frantic. "You have to get Eric," I cry.

"I'll call him." Peter nods and dials the phone faster than I've ever seen him before.
