My routine becomes more redundant, waking up and feeding and caring for Emery; no sign of Eric and Ean has been with his father all week. The apartment gets lonely without my boys...boy.
Today is my week to have Ean and I'm so much as expecting Peter to drop off Ean, but it's Eric.
"There's my boy," I answer the door and grab Ean from Eric's arms and give my boy a hug.
"He's been good for me all week. I even got to show him my office." Eric says smiling.
"You got to see daddy's work," I say and kiss Ean's cheeks while he laughs. I try my best not to look at Eric, not to give in, we haven't talk in a week and he knows exactly what he's doing to me. It aggravates the shit out of me when we don't talk, but we're both stubborn.
"Can I see the other little guy? How has he been?" Eric stands in the hallway not making a step in.
"Waking up every hour of the night, I just put him down. He's sleeping in his room." I take a step back and motion him to come in, shutting the door behind him. We head into Emery's room.
"Wow...He's nearly doubled in size." Disbelief filled his face.
I smile over Emery's crib. "He's been eating really well, doctors say he's healthy."
"That's a blessing." He remarked.
"Yeah, he is." I smile down at the baby. "Eric," I say looking at him.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry," I swallow my pride for once. "I don't mean to start fights. I know you're only trying your best and...and thank you for that."
"Thank you." He mumbles.
"Do you still think this is a good idea?"
"What is?"
"You know, living separately." I say in a low tone of voice.
"Well, it was pretty lonely having just Ean and I and I do want more time with Emery, but I don't want to fall into this vicious cycle with you. I don't want to fight with you and I know I've said it before and circumstances always change things, but I don't know I mean I'm up for all living together just maybe we shouldn't." He speaks softly watching a sleeping Emery.
"Just give me one chance; at first fight I'll be out. We can at least try for the children." I say almost pleading.
"This is what you really want? Two weeks ago you were ready to kill me."
I shrug my shoulders. "I wasn't willing to change two weeks ago."
"You're welcome to move back in anytime I already had the place cleaned up months ago." He crosses his arms.
I smile. "I'll call Peter and we can move the boys stuff in tonight?"
He grunts in agreement.
It doesn't take long for Peter to get here and takes even less time gathering the boys stuff considering half of the boys stuff is already at Eric's. I don't bothering moving furniture, because well there's no point. I pack my clothes and like that I'm back into the apartment that started it all. Home--I missed it.
Later that night, when all the boys were down I had just gotten out of the shower and getting dressed I hear Eric coming home. He walks into the bedroom to change out of his work clothes.
"How was work?" I ask.
"Good. Well, decent. It was not as boring as it usually is."
"Why did something happen?"
