Later on that night I get home before Eric. I walk down the hallway and stop at Eloise's door. I knock and then twist the doorknob. Locked. "Are you going to stay in there all day?"

"What's the point of coming out? I'm already on house arrest." She spits out with attitude.

"Your father is coming home tonight."

"Dad? Is he home yet?" She asks quietly standing now on the other side of the door.

"Not yet. Soon though." I place my palm on her door.

"Okay." She accepts disappointed.

"Okay," I say back to her and then move down the hallway to enter Eeros room. "Did you eat yet?"

He quickly shakes his head. "I'm not hungry though." He says sadly.

"What's the matter baby?" I brush his hair back and sit next to him on his bed.

"Are you and dad getting a divorce?"

I smile at him. "No Eero," then I give him a look. "What makes you think that?"

"The yellings and then dad didn't come home last night and Phoenix and Eli left and Eloise stayed in her room all night."

"The yelling was because Eloise broke a rule. Dad didn't come home because he was working late and Phoenix and Eli just went to see Ean. Everything is fine," I hear the front door open. "See, there's daddy now."

Eero smiles and goes running of Eric. "Dad!" He calls.

Eric drops his stuff so Eero can run into his arms. He picks him up and hugs him. "I missed you, little man." He ruffles his hair.

Eero closes his eyes as he rest his head against Eric's shoulder. "I missed you too daddy."

"Why don't we both go take a nice, long nap?"

"Together?" He perks up.

Eric nods in confirmation. "Together."

"I call moms side of the bed," he climbs down from Eric and runs into our bedroom.

I walk over to Eric and smile. "Welcome home."

Eric smiles at me. "I was serious about that nap."

"Mind if I join?"

"As long as you stick to your side with the kid."

"I wouldn't want it any other way," I race Eric to the bedroom. There Eero is waiting patiently under the covers, the blankets hiked under his nose.

Eric and I both crawl into bed, I wrap my arms around Eero and leave my hand out for Eric to grab.

When I wake up from the nap Eero had scattered somewhere else. I look at Eric who is already awake staring at the ceiling. "What're you thinking about?" I scoot closer to him.

"Everything." Eric sighs.

"We see Emery tomorrow."

"I can't wait."

"Me either," I say quietly.

He nods. "I'm so proud of him. I don't even have to see him to know he's thriving over there."

"He's special," I smile. "I'm proud of him too. He gets his smarts from his dad."

"Can't argue with that one."

I hit him playfully. "They all remind me of you in a way. Except Eero." I chuckle.

"Eero isn't even from this world." He laughs.
