Chapter 29

Chapter 29

-Hailee-

I helped Justin cook the pancake in the pan waiting for Noah and Maddie to enter the kitchen. We joked and laughed until they came in.

"Hailee!!!" Maddie screamed. I turned around and saw her running at me. I bent down so she could run into my arms.

"Hey Maddie!" I said hugging her.

"Hailee. I missed you. You have to come back to Texas." She pleaded and I laughed.

"Oh Maddie. I would but I can't." I told her and he frowned. I stood up and saw Noah standing watching us with a smile on his face. "Noah." I said returning to Justin's side.

"Hailee." He mocked me. I rolled my eyes.

"What are you doing?" Maddie asked looking at what we were cooking.

"We are cooking breakfast. You want some?" I told her. She nodded smiling big. "Okay."

"So, aren't you gonna introduce us to your friend." Noah smarted off. I rolled my eyes at him. If it wasn't obvious who he was already.

"Noah, Maddie, this is Justin. My boyfriend." I said. Noah looked mad when I said that. I took Justin's hand smiling at him.

"What happened to y'all's faces?" He asked. Justin's face was bruised and mine did have big cuts on the forehead.

"Uh, we got into a fight with someone from school." I said returning back to the cooking.

After we finished cooking breakfast, and ate, I told everybody I was going to take a shower. Justin followed me up to my room and sat down on the bed. I stared heading to the bathroom and I felt him slap my but. I turned around with my mouth wide open and Justin was laughing.

"Nice pajamas babe. But I'm gonna take you somewhere today so look nice. " He said. I laughed and turned to the bathroom again. I went in and closed the door turning on the water. I took off my clothes and stepped in. I let the hot water relax my muscles. I washed my hair and body, then did whatever else I needed to do before stepping out. I wrapped my towel around my body and then grabbed my clothes for the day:

Black Sweatshirt that says "Love" in pink,white skinny jeans and black boots

I smiled satisfied and went to brush my teeth then went back into my room. Justin sat unmoved on his phone. He looked up and smiled when he saw me.

"You look beautiful." He complimented. I blushed and thanked him. I sat down on his lap and he hugged me. He gave me a kiss.

"Okay, now you. You go look nice with your extra clothes you brought so I can tell you you look hot." I said getting off of him and he went into the bathroom, starting the shower and getting in. I laughed at him for no reason and pulled out my laptop logging onto Facebook, seeing nothing interesting. I heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Come in." I said and the door opened. Noah came in and I mentally slapped him.

"Hey." He said coming to sit down next to me.

"Hey what's up?" I said acting like I was interested.

"Just came to talk to you." He said. I shut my laptop and set it aside.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked.

"Well, I don't really know. Just came to catch up on life." He said. But I knew he was lying. It's what he does. Acts like he's gonna do something else but really, it's just one of his games on hooking up.

"In that case, you are wanting to hook up. I know your games Noah. I have know for a long time." I told him.

"Aww common babe. Don't be like that." He said. I raised an eyebrow. Aww hell nah! Be did not just call me babe!

"Noah, don't." I pleaded. He scooted closer to me.

"Don't what?" He acted like he didn't know.

"Don't act like you don't know. Now get out." I said pointing at the door.

"Aww Hailee-"

"I said get the fuck out!" I raised my voice. I heard the shower turn off. "Now you better go before Justin finds out you are in here." He groaned and stood up, walking out. I took out my laptop again and continued to look through Facebook. After a few more minutes, Justin came out looking hot

"Okay you look more than hot. You look freaking sexy." I told him and he laughed. I stood up and we walked downstairs, hand in hand, as always. I went straight to the kitchen to find my mom. She was playing on her laptop.

"Hey mom were gonna go out for a while. Is that okay?" I asked. She nodded.

"But when you get home you have to spend some time with Maddie and Noah okay?" She told me. I nodded and took Justin's hand. I led us to the door saying bye to dad and Maddie. I shot Noah a glance and then kissed Justin to make him jealous. Then we went outside and got into Justin's car. He wouldn't tell me where he was taking me, which angered me. I wanted to know so bad. But I guess I'll have to wait until we get there to find out.

Jealousy. That's what I felt. I could just rip Justin's head off for taking Hailee from me. She would have had to give in at any time now. I came here wanting to take it further with her. But then this asshole takes her from me. And she's hurt. He probably did it. With cuts on her face and bruises on his. I rolled my eyes and returned to listening to Hailee's parents. And now he takes her out when we get there. There is just some things that I can't get out of my head. And right now, one of those things is a way I'm going to get rid of Justin.

-Justin-

"Justin where are we going?" Hailee whined as I covered her eyes with my hands leading her to our destination. I was planning to take her where my mom always would take me when I was a kid. I loved it. It was always so fun. We reached the place and I uncovered her eyes.

"Okay. We're here." I said as she looked around. Her jaw dropped.

"Oh my gosh Justin. It's beautiful." She said walking out further. I walked out standing next to her. We stood there looking out over to town. "Where did you find this place?"

"My mom used to take me here when I was little. I always loved coming here." I explained. She had a smile on her face the whole time. She turned to face me after she stopped looking out at the town.

"This is amazing!" She said going out to look around the empty field. We stood looking out in the field. Then Hailee hit my arm and took off running. "You're it!" She shouted. I laughed and then went running after her. She was fast but I'm faster. I caught up to her and grabbed her waist spinning her around. She laughed loudly and we fell to the ground in the grass laughing with each other. We laid down next to each other catching our breath.

"Hails, I love you." I said to her. She smiled and cuddled up next to me.

"I love you to Juju." She said my nickname from earlier. I laughed a little. I took her hand and put it on my heart.

"You feel that?" I asked her and she nodded. "That's my love for you." She blushed when I said that and buried her head in my chest.

"You always do this to me. You're so sweet and loving. How could anybody not love you?" She said. I pulled her head to face me and planted a kiss on her lips. She didn't hesitate to kiss back. After a few minutes, we pulled away. Hailee rested her head on my chest.

"I don't want to go home." She said after a few minutes of silence.

"I don't want you to either." I said back to her. She giggled.

"When do we ever want to be apart from each other?" She joked and I laughed.

"True." I said and we became quite again. After a few minutes, I got up and held out my hand for her. "Common, Im gonna show you something." I told her. She took my hand and I led her to a small pond.

"And a pond! Ohh!" She said sitting down by the water. I sat down next to her and kept her hand in mine. This moment was all I needed to be happy.

Me and Justin went home and Justin dropped me off at home. Sadly, I had to spend time with Maddie and Noah, and not him. I gave Justin a kiss and got out of the car.

"Bye Hails I love you." He said.

"I love you too Juju. I'll see you tomorrow." I said to him and shut the door. He drove away and I walked to the door, walking inside and into the living room. Maddie and my mom were playing 'sorry' and Noah and my dad were talking. Noah was the first one to notice me of course.

"We'll look who finally decided to show up." He said. I gave him a look and sat down with Maddie and mom.

"Oh trust me Noah. Her and her boyfriend are inseparable." Mom joked. But it was true. Me and Justin are always together.

"I wonder why." I muttered under my breath.

"Hailee guess what?" Maddie asked me. I smiled because so far, she's the best one.

"What Maddie?" I said cheerfully.

"I think you're boyfriend is cute. He's your prince." She said. I laughed at what she said.

"You're right Maddie. And maybe someday you will find yours." I told her. I stood up and looked out the window. It still was bright enough out. "I'm going for a quick walk." I headed outside and shut the door behind me. I got halfway down the street when I head someone walking behind me. I turned around finding it was only Noah.

"Why do you want?" I groaned. He caught up to me and walked next to me.

"I wanted to come since it was dark." He said. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, but I shook it off. "What was that for?"

"Noah I'm case you haven't noticed, I don't like you. And I obviously have a boyfriend." I told him.

"Yeah, did he cut your face?" He asked. I laughed.

"Yeah right. I already told you what happened." I said. He stayed quite for a minute or two and started talking again.

"I bet you guys already fucked." He said. My jaw dropped.

"Really Noah? Are you serious! We have not! And even if we were going to, I wouldn't. And I know he wouldn't make me.!" I spat at him. "And why would you care?"

"Because you're my girl Hails. Not him. I could treat you so much better." He said. I laughed again.

"I highly doubt that. Now why don't you just leave. I'm perfectly fine walking alone." I told him. I started walking faster so I could get away from him. Who does he think he is? I started getting into town and passed the gas station, but Noah still followed me. I felt him grab my arm and push me against the wall.

"Common Hailee. You know I'm better for you." He whispered in my ear.

"Noah stop. Get off of me." I said trying to push him but his grip was strong.

"Hailee. You know I can do you so much better." He whispered again. I mentally gagged.

"Noah stop! I'm serious!" I shouted but again, he didn't stop. Then I did the only thing I thought of when it came to boys. I raised my knee and kneed him in 'his area'. He dropped his hands and held where I kicked. He groaned in pain. Now was my chance to get away. I jumped over him as he laid on the ground and ran in the direction of home. I didn't stop until I got all the way home. I swung the door open and ran straight to my room. I could hear my mom calling after me but I didn't stop. I ran to my room and slammed the door shut, sliding down the back. I sat on the floor behind the door and I started to cry. I cried because I know that if I didn't know what to do, it could have gotten worse. I cried because Noah was one of my friends when I lived in Texas, and now, he just wants me for sex. He always tried to do things with me in Texas but that was different because I didn't have Justin. And now I do, so I know the difference between wanting to love somebody and wanting to get somebody I'm bed. I pulled out my phone and had to call Justin. He answered on the third ring.

J: hey babe what's wrong?
M: Justin, I need to talk to you.
J: why what wrong?

He sounded scared for me. I told him everything that happened. I could tell when he replied he was angry.

J: I swear if he touches you again
he's dead.
M: thanks Juju. I'm just scared.
J: hey, I'm there whenever you
need me okay?
M: okay. Thanks baby. I love
you.
J: love you too.

I hung up and pulled myself together. At least I know that if I can't rely on myself I can rely on Justin too. I got up and walked to my closet changing into my sweats

I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and sat on the bed and pulled out my laptop. I waited in my room until I heard everybody go to bed. I sneaked downstairs and sat on the couch, cuddling up with my blanket Justin and I always use. I turned on the TV and watched The Hunger Games. I didn't make it to the end before I fell into a well needed sleep.
