After a movie and my begging for a while, Hailee had finally decided she was over the thing with the waitress. I was honestly just messing with the waitresses mind. Of course I was going to tell her I was married to the best wife I could ever ask for. I had told Hailee but her mood swings made it hard to convince her. She got to one point when all she wanted was for me to hold her and her repeatedly saying she wasn't mad at me anymore. I didn't complain and took it in, I mean, who knows how long it's gonna be till the next mood swing? She had fallen asleep laying on my chest as I played with the ends of her hair while watching TV. I looked through my phone at the schedule Hailee had put in there, so I wouldn't miss a doctors appointment. Not that I would anyway. I noticed we were scheduled for an appointment tomorrow at two o'clock. I smiled slightly and set my phone down on the coffee table, shutting my eyes. I was on the verge of falling asleep when my phone rang. I groaned and reached in my pocket, not waking Hailee. I looked at caller ID seeing it was Ryan.

"Hello?" I mumbled, my voice hoarse from almost sleeping.

"Justin, man we need you." Ryan rushed, his voice was panicked.

"Ryan what the hell?" I groaned. I glanced at the wall clock seeing it was a little after midnight.

"Stephanie and I were out walking and this dude won't leave us alone. I'm sure he's drunk as fuck but he keeps following us." Ryan explained. I sat up carefully, trying not to wake up Hailee, which failed. She stretched out her arms and watched me talk to Ryan.

"Where are you guys?" I asked him, starting to put my shoes on.

"We are by the mall. You won't miss us." He said.

"Why are you out walking in the middle of the night?" I asked as the thought creeped into my mind.

"We were at a party and we were leaving. The guy must have been from there but he looks like he's about ready to kill someone." He told me. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Why don't you just go back to your car?" I wondered. I heard him mumble something I couldn't understand, most likely to Stephanie.

"Because you have seen my car. It's a piece of shit. I'm not gonna get far in that." He told me and I agreed. I told him I would the right there and then hung up. I finished slipping my shoes on and went to the closet finding hoodie to wear.

"Justin where are you going?" Hailee mumbled, rubbing her eyes as she sat on the couch.

"I'm going to get Ryan. He says someone's following him." I told her. She got off the couch and came over to me.

"I'm going with you." She said, grabbing her shoes from the floor.

"Hailee please stay here. I don't want you to get hurt." I stopped her, grabbing the shoes from her hands.

"J, please. I want to help." She begged, frowning at me. I knew I wasn't going to win this. She's probably gonna freak out on me with her crazy hormones if I don't let her go.

"Hailee..."

"I'm not taking no for an answer." She said sternly. I sighed and looked at her for a minute.

"Fine. But we have to hurry." I gave in, handing her shoes back to her. She smirked and took the shoes, putting them on as fast as she could. I could hear the constant sound of rain on the house, which meant I would have to get Hailee a jacket, too. I grabbed a black one for me and one of my blue ones for Hailee, knowing she would want to wear one of mine. She took it from me and put it on, as did I. I opened the front door letting her go out and then me, making sure I locked it behind me. We climbed into the car quickly, not wanting to get wet by the rain. I put the keys in the ignition making the car start and pulled out of the driveway. Going faster than I should, like always, I sped in the direction of the mall where Ryan had told me to go. Since it was midnight, the streets were mostly empty. This made it easy for me to get there faster.
