Chapter 55

-Hailee-


After we spent the day at the beach, we went to my aunt and uncles house for dinner. Mom and dad were in the kitchen helping with dinner, Ally and Maddie were playing in the treehouse and me and Justin were sitting on the couch talking. He had his arm wrapped around me and I had my head rested on his shoulder.

"And then Ryan tripped and we got caught." Justin finished telling me about the time they snuck into the store after it closed. I rolled my eyes laughing at him.

"So I guess you, Ryan, and Chaz were real trouble makers back then." I said playfully making him laugh.

"We still are. But not like when we were younger." He told me. "Like at school, I got suspended like every year."

"Wow Justin. I always knew you never did anything that involved school but you got suspended?" I joked. He nodded. He opened his mouth to talk but his phone tuning interrupted him. He pulled it out looking at caller ID.

"It's mom." He said.

"You can go on the back porch. It's probably quieter out there." I told him considering it was loud in here. He nodded and headed to the back door. "Hello?" I heard him say before stepping outside. I sighed taking a sip of my water waiting for Justin to get back. I sat with Penny since she wasn't aloud at the hotel with us so she stayed here. She was curled up sleeping besides me. I gently rested my hand on her head petting her, not waking her. Man has she grown since Justin got her. About twice the size she was. I wonder what Pattie was calling for.

"Wow, you're actually not with Jesse or whatever his name is for once?" Noah scared me, walking into the room. I gave him a glare.

"It's Justin. And no. He's on the phone." I spat at him.

"On the phone with who? His other girlfriend?" He laughed. My jaw dropped.

"No Noah. He's talking to his mom. What is wrong with you?"

"Aww mammas boy. And nothing's wrong with me. Hailee, you know that I want you. For a long time." He said. I scoffed.

"To bad. I'm happy without you." I hissed. Just then Justin came back in and saw Noah sitting with me. He noticed the look on my face and took his seat back were he was before.

"Is he giving you trouble?" He whispered in my ear. I shook my head.

"Just being the little asshole he is." I joked making Justin laugh, sealing my lips with a passionate kiss. We both smiled through the kiss and then pulled away. I turned to Noah who was glaring at us, obviously jealous. "Can we help you?" I asked him with a tone. He rolled his eyes, getting up and stomping out of the room, waking up Penny in the process. She barked since it startled her, making me and Justin laugh. I turned back to Justin.

"So what did Pattie want?" I asked. He laughed.

"Just curious about how we were. What we were doing. Wondering if I was having fun. Ya know, stuff like that." He told me. I nodded.

"Are you having fun?" I wondered. He nodded without even having to think.

"Of course I am." He said smiling his million dollars smile which made my heart melt. I pecked his lips as Lila came in. We pulled away and greeted her.

"Hey Justin, Ally and Maddie want you. I think they want you to be the prince. They sent me to get you." Lila told Justin. I laughed and we stood up going to the backyard. Me and Lila stood on the porch as Justin went up in the treehouse with them. I hear them get excited and turned to Lila who had a smile on her face.

"He's so sweet." She said making me smile.

"Hey, he's mine. Don't get any ideas." I joked making her laugh.

"I have a boyfriend Hails." She said playfully. We both giggled. "but anyway, my mom said we're out of some things we need for dinner. Wanna come to the store with me?"

"Sure just let me tell Justin were going." I headed up in the treehouse and saw Justin playing with the girls. It was adorable.

"Hey babe I'm gonna go to the store with Lila. Be back soon." I told him pecking his lips quickly.

"Bye baby." He said and I headed back to the house. Me and Lila got in the car and drove to the store.


-Justin-

After playing with Ally and Maddie for a while, I went out on the front porch to wait for Hailee and Lila to get back from the store. I had been sitting there for a while wondering why they weren't home yet. But you know girls. They take forever.

"Justin." I heard someone say bringing me out of my thoughts, making me jump. I snapped my head to where I heard the voice seeing it was Noah. I gave him a nasty look as he walked closer.

"What do you want?" I spat at him. Even though I probably knew what he was gonna say.

"You know what I want Justin. I want you girlfriend." He said. I knew he would say that. But I know he doesn't want her because he likes her. He wants her so he can mess with her.

"Never gonna happen." I snapped. He scoffed.

"Maybe it will." He said. I wondered what he was trying to say. He must have caught on because he opened his mouth to talk again. "I can just get rid of you Justin."

"Look Noah, Hailee doesn't like you. She doesn't want to be with you. She can't have someone who is just gonna use her for sex. Like you want her for." I told him. He gave me a look.

"That's what you're using her for." He muttered trying not for me to hear but I did.

"What?! No! I love her. I'd never use her that way. We have never done anything like that." I spat. He scoffed.

"I think your lying Justin." He said. I shook my head, angry.

"Look Noah, you can say what you want but your just lying to yourself. Hailee-" I was interrupted by a sharp stinging pain on my jaw. I looked up, holding it seeing Noah's fist. He punched me. Before I could do anything he punched me hand again in the gut, making me fall to the ground. I groaned in pain as I felt another after another. Face and stomach. I saw headlights pull into the driveway, then I heard the doors slam shut, and then someone sprinting to us.

"What the hell?!? Noah what did you do?!" I heard Hailee's angelic voice. She rushed over to me kneeling down by me. "Justin!"

"Noah what the fuck is wrong with you?!?" Lila screamed. The front door swung open but I couldn't tell who was there since my vision was blurry.

"Justin are you okay?" Hailee asked, he voice full of panic and worry. I found enough strength to lift my upper half of my body up so I was sitting. "Justin." I looked at Hailee seeing she had tears in her eyes. I placed my hand on her cheek and she placed hers over mine.

"Hailee don't cry." I managed to say through the pain. I wasn't paying attention to what was going on with everybody else but I heard a lot of yelling.

"Justin are you okay?" She asked, her voice cracking.

"It's okay baby. I'm fine." I lied. Other than the pain, I would be fine.

"What happened?" She questioned. I could see the worry and wonder in her eyes.

"He'll explain when we get him cleaned up." I heard Hailee's dad say. Hailee and her dad helped me up and helped me walk inside to the kitchen. I say down on one of the chairs as Hailee got a wet cloth and came and sat down on my lap. She started to dab the places where I had cuts and bruises, making my flinch. "Sorry." She said every time. When she was done with that, her dad came over and handed me an icepack.

"Thank you." I said taking it from him and placing it on my jaw.

"So, what happened?" Hailee questioned. I looked at her as she sat down next to me.

"I just remember him walking up to me, and then telling me that he was gonna get Hailee and then he went on about wanting her and I told him that I loved you and then he said I was lying and then I told him he was lying to himself and then he just started hitting me." I explained the best I could.

"Uhh that kid is gonna get it." Hailee hissed. She looked at me and frowned. "I'm so sorry baby." She whispered. I smiled.

"Hailee I'm fine sweetheart. There is nothing to worry about." I told her. Hailee's mom walked in the kitchen.

"Justin I'm so sorry this happened." She said. "I never knew that Noah was so obsessed with Hails." She joked making me laugh. "But we won't let him near either of you anymore."

"Thanks mom." Hailee said. Her mom nodded and her and Hailee's dad left the kitchen leaving me and Hailee.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Hailee questioned. I nodded.

"Yeah. Babe this isn't the first time this has happened ya know?" I told her. She smiled and nodded.

"Yeah I just didn't expect this to happen." She whimpered. I patted my lap, motioning for her to sit there. She obeyed and sat down, looking down. I put my fingers under her chin pulling it up so her eyes met mine.

"Hailee. I really am fine. Don't worry about it." I told her.

"Okay. But what if he tries to do it again?" Man this girl has so many questions.

"I won't let him." I said. She smiled and kissed my good cheek.

"I love you." She whispered.

"I love you too." I whispered back.

"Dinners ready!!" We heard and then everybody came to the kitchen. Good thing dinners ready, I'm starving!


-Hailee-

I hate Noah now. Who does he think he is to just go and beat up my boyfriend for not reason. Not cool man, not cool. We finished eating dinner and then heard back to the hotel. We parked in the parking lot and then headed in. Getting in the elevators. I knew Justin hated then but he went anyway. I felt so bad for him. He looked like he was in so much pain. And it turns out Noah also was hitting him in the stomach not just the face. My poor baby. We go out of the elevator and started walking down the hall, Justin receiving glances from everybody that walked by. We got to our room and went in. I placed Ally on the bed since she was fast asleep like last time. I pulled the blankets over her and then changed into my pajamas. Justin was in his sweats and no shirt, like always. I noticed bruises forming on his stomach. Man he must have hit Justin hard. I frowned walking over to him wrapping my arms around him. He forced a smile on his face as I frowned.

"I'll get you some painkillers." I told him. He smiled for real when I said that. I put on my sandals walking down to the lobby.

"Hello how can I help you?" The last at the front desk asked.

"Do you have any painkillers?" I asked. She nodded reaching under the desk and pulling a bottle out.

"And what are these for?"

"Uh my boyfriend. He got hurt today and he's in a lot of pain." I told her. She nodded and handed my the bottle. I thanked her and walked back to the room. When I returned I saw Justin laying in the bed. I grabbed him a glass of water and a painkiller walking over and handing it to him.

"Thanks baby." He said, his voice barely above a whisper. It broke my heart to see him in so much pain. He took the pill and then laid back down on the bed. I laid down next to him and rested my head on his shoulder. He wrapped one arm around my waist as I moved my hand around his stomach gently, trying to make him feel better. I could tell he was crying because his eyes were red, puffy, and he had tear stains on his cheeks. Just seeing that made me want to cry.

"I hope you feel better int he morning." I whispered. He nodded lightly as I was still moving my hand around his stomach. I could feel his abs too. But that didn't natter right now. After a few minutes, Justin's light snoring and even breaths told me he was sleeping. "Goodnight baby." I whispered as I also fell into a deep sleep.
