Chapter 19
-Hailee-

We got inside the party and I instantly went to look for Justin. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find him. I stood there waiting and thought he would hopefully walk by. The music was blasting so there was no use in calling him. he had to be here somewhere. I felt someone bump into me, almost knocking me over, and I turned around and saw Ryan.

"I'm sorry Hailee." He said, apologizing for bumping me.

"It's fine." I said.

"Have you seen Stephanie?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Haven't seen her since we got here. Have you seen Justin?" I asked and he smiled.

"Your boyfriend." He joked and I rolled my eyes. "But the last time I saw him he was waiting by the food for you."

"Alright thanks." I said and walked away, towards the food. "Excuse me." I told people trying to make my way through the crowd. On my way through, I felt someone grab onto my arm. I turned around expecting it to be Justin, but it wasn't. It was an older guy I have never seen before.

"Well, aren't you a pretty thing." His husky voice said. I instantly smelled alcohol from him, probably meaning he was drunk. I tried to get my arm out of his grip but it was strong and hurtful.

"Let me go!" I shouted.

"Ah, don't you want to have some fun?" He asked and started pushing me out of the crowd down and empty hall, and into someone's bedroom.

"Stop!" I whined, but he didn't listen. He pushed me onto the bed and tried kissing me. I refused. "Stop! Get off me you creep!" I felt a stinging pain on my cheek and my hands flew to the stop where I was slapped.

"Shhh princess, someone's going to hear you." He said inches away from my face. "No be quite or else."

I got tired of waiting and every girl tried to give me a lap dance, and I was pissed at them. Karla tried multiple times to talk, but I ignored her, as I she wasn't even there. Sooner or later, she would give up and walk away, only to return minutes later. I decided I needed to be alone so I headed to find an empty room, where it was quite. As I walked down the hallway, I heard a familiar voice.

"Stop! Someone help!" She shouted. I instantly knew it was Hailee and I swung the door open. I saw an older man trying to kiss her and she was struggling underneath him, to get away. He didn't stop so I went over to him, pulling him off of her and throwing him to the ground.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I yelled.

"This pretty girl over here was lonely, so I have her company." He said pointing at Hailee as he climbed off the floor. I knew he was obviously drunk.

"Oh so you mean to say this beautiful girl, otherwise known as my girlfriend, was lonely. Ha, I don't think so." I spat. Hailee remained unmoving on the bed, breathing hard. She was crying but she still looked beautiful. As I looked at her I saw her facial expressions change.

"Justin look out!" She shouted and I looked to where she was looking. Before I could see anything, I was knocked to the floor and I felt multiple stings on my face. One I noticed and took in that I was being punched, I tried to get the guy off of me but he was heavy. "Get off of him!" I heard Hailee yelling and then trying to pull him off. He pushed her back and she fell to she floor. I became very angry and my fist came in direct contact with his face and he fell off of me. I stood up walking over to him, and punched him one more time.

"Don't you ever touch her again!" I spat, and ran over to Hailee. I helped her stand up and gave her a big hug. I kissed her head, then pulled away just enough so I could see her face. She was still crying.

"Are you okay?"'I asked.

"I'm fine." She replied, her voice shaky.

"Common, I'm taking you home."'I said and pulled her out. We returned to the crowd, trying to make our way through. Inked Hailee through the crowd, holding her hand, but nobody would move out of my way when I said excuse me. "Move!" I finally had to yell just for people to notice. When we reached the door. It was cold to me, but it must be freezing for her.

"Here." I said taking off my jacket, and handing it to her. She didn't hesitate to take it as she slipped it in. It was big in her but it was cute. We got in the car, and drove off, in the direction of her house. She was cuddled up on her seat, with her head resting on the window staring at me.

"How did you know I was in there?" She asked after minutes of silence.

"I just wanted to be alone and then I heard you screaming." I explained.

"Thank you." She said.

"No problem. Anything for you babe." I said back to her. After a few more minutes of silence, I glanced at her, as she was fast asleep. Once I pulled up in front of her house, I picked her up bridal style and carried her into her house, and upstairs into her bed. I put blankets over her, and started to leave the room.

"Justin don't go. Stay with me?" I heard her asked.

"Alright." I said and went back to her. I climbed in bed next to her and wrapped my arms around her. She buried her head in my chest and I played with the end of her hair. I heard her light even breathing, telling me she was sleeping. I smiled as I listened to her breathing soon feeling very sleepy, and falling asleep.

I woke up shirtless, having no clue how I didn't have my shirt on and looked at Hailee who was changed out of her dress into pajama pants and a tank top. I was still confused on how we both ended up differently from last night. She laid still sleeping, her body pressed against mine. She had her head in the crook of my neck and my arm was user her neck, acting like a pillow. It wasn't until then I felt my face hurting and felt swollen. I reached my hand up to feel it, and there was a big bump on my forehead. I laid there closing my eyes, as I waited for Hailee to wake up. After almost ten minutes I felt he move besides me and I looked down at her. Her eyes fluttered open so I could see her beautiful eyes. She rubbed them and then looked at me.

"Good morning beautiful." I said and she smiled big.

"Good morning Justin." She replied, resting he rheas back on her chest. We didn't say anything for a few minutes. We just sat there as I played with the ends of her hair, and she rubbing my arm. "Justin?" I heard her ask after a while.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Thank you for staying with me last night." She told me. I smiled.

"Sure thing. It's better than being alone." I said.

"And my parents are coming home tonight. So there's no staying out late for me." She pouted.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure your home extra late." I joked and she giggled.

"Then they're sure to keep me away from you." She joked back.

"They can't." I said.

"And how come?" She asked.

"Because you can't keep love apart from each other." I replied. And she laughed again.

"That sounds right." She replied as she got up out of bed, she went to her bathroom but didn't shut the door, returning seconds later with her hair pulled up into a messy bun. "Common."

"Where?" I asked.

"Downstairs." She said. I followed her down the stairs and into the kitchen. We sat at the table. "You want some orange juice?" She asked and I nodded. She took some out and poured it into two glasses, handing me one and and keeping one for her.

"So, what so you want to do today?" I asked drinking my orange juice.

"Hmmmm, how about the movies?" She asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah!" I said hung giving her. I loved going to see movies at the theater.

"What will we see?" She asked.

"What do you want to see?" I questioned.

"Scary or funny?"

"Either, but I like scary movies." I answered.

"Good, me too." She said. "I'm gonna go get dressed."

We stopped at Justin's house so he could change and I talked to Pattie until he came back downstairs wearing this:

"Oh my gosh Justin! What happened to your face?" Pattie said once she noticed it was bruised.

"I'm fine mom. I just, fell while I was skateboarding." Justin lied.

"Kids these days." Pattie sighed.

We said by to Pattie and headed outside to his car. We drove away to the direction of the theater. It took us about half an hour to get there, and when we did we walked up to the girl selling tickets.

"Hi, how may I help you." He she said a bit to cheery. Me and Justin both held back a laugh.

"Uh, two tickets to... Dark Skies." Justin answered looking at the movie board. We bought our tickets and popcorn and went to get our seats.

"Do you even know what this movies about?" I asked Justin and he smiled.

"I heard it was like aliens or something. Ryan said it was creepy and it was the closest starting time. So why not?" He explained.

"Alright, this better be good." I said. The lights went off and then the movie started playing. Me and Justin started eating the popcorn and watching the movie.

It was getting near the end and it was at the good part. The main character was slowly walking down the hall and there was an alien creature following her. It reached out and touched her shoulder lightly, but she didn't notice. She didn't even know the creature was following her.

"How does she not feel it there?! That mother fucker just touched her!" I whisper- yelled. The guy in front of us made a 'shh' sound telling me to be quite. I make a face and Justin quietly laughed. I smiled and returned my attention back to the movie. It ended and I was creeped out.

"Oh common, it was that scary." Justin said as we exited the theater.

"No, not scary, just creepy." I corrected him and he laughed.

"Okay, but there's not really a difference." He said. We exited the building and it was getting dark.

"Oh no mister. There a difference alright." I said and he laughed.

"Okay, whatever you say." He replied and got into the car.

We pulled up in front if my house and I saw my parents car in the driveway, telling me they were home. I groaned and turned to Justin.

"Thank you for taking me today. It was fun." I said.

"I could agree." He said and gave me a kiss. It lasted for a good amount of time before sadly, I had to pull away.

"Okay, text me. I'll see you tomorrow?" I said.

"Of course." He replied and I opened the car door, climbing out. I waved goodbye and watched him drive away. I walked up to the door and opened it. I took off my shoes and jacket walking into the kitchen.

"Hailee!" Mom said when she saw me. She got up and have me a hug and then dad gave me one. "Ah, we missed you!"

"Where were you?" Dad asked.

"Movies." I replied grabbing a water and drinking it.

"What did you see?" Mom butted in before dad could say anything.

"Some alien movie. Like Dark Skies or something like that." I answered. "How was your trip?" I asked changing the subject.

"Oh it was wonderful! You have to come with us next time!" Mom explained every detail of the trip, and I started to get bored.

"That's great mom. I'm glad you guys had fun. But I'm tired, so I'm going to my room." I said getting up and heading to my room. I shut my door and went into the bathroom.

"A nice hot shower sounds nice." I said to myself, and with that being said, I hopped into the shower.
